I'm loving it, I am 450 pages in and Flagg has just saved LLoyd from the prison. I have read King since I was a kid, but never read The Stand and I am having alot of fun with it
Also not currently but have read it several times. Lots of great character development in it and a wonderful job of juggling them all.
Lloyd is a great character! Which version of the book are you reading? The original or the later edition?
The Complete and uncut edition. Its great writing and character development, its one of those books that pulls you in and you can get lost in the world.
Just finished book one. Stu has met up with Frannie and Harold. I am loving this book
It only gets better from here. There's not a dull moment in the whole book but things start gelling at this point. I hope to buy a copy of this and read again this summer. Keep us posted on your progress!

It's consistently rated as a fan favorite. I echo GNT's and Nottie's response. Get a copy and enjoy. Welcome.
Some books can be a chore at times to get through, even if you like them overall, and then there are books that you hate to put down and you get excited and can't wait to get back to it. The Stand is the type you hate to put down. I am loving it, and I am sure I will be massively disappointed with whatever I choose to read next.
