I have been a fan of stephen king since I was in the sixth grade and have just found this site, I have asked msny people this question and no onecan seem to answer. I am sure that the term "the troubles" have appeared in another stephen king book other than the series Haven, but I cant find it

...welcome to our Band of Loopy Readers...to reference your question, I have read everything I can get with Steve's scribblings and I'm not recalling that phrase in particular...but that may have to do with a memory that has more holes than prize-winning Swiss cheese...

The only mention I know of in relation to "the Troubles" would be what they called the conflict in Northern Ireland for many years because of the IRA (but I do not think that answers your question here).

Have not read them all myself but I am pretty sure "the Troubles" concept originated within the Haven series world. It is the specific Troubles themselves that are rooted in Sai King's works.
