The only thing is that the group has to "audition" in order to join. What does that mean?
I thought the same thing..also,why does he have "to do everything in my power to help you" when they arrive, supposed to be a place of safety, right?I also thought it kinda weird how Rick attacked him when he arrived at the barn,I mean he didn't lose it right away,he talked for five minutes without saying anything vaguely threatening, and Rick walks up and belts him out of the blue, thought that was out of place..

it might just be speaking up for them. Just because he brings them does not definitely mean they get accepted into the commune. They do have to audition....whatever that means.

I do not like the fact that A) Judith was not in car seat. They could have picked up one somewhere. Nor was she belted in at all. B)Where were the children that Rick heard when they were outside the gates.

A) I thought the same thing. B) were they real children he heard, or just Rick heard in his own head. I thought it was sounds from the past, but I 'm not sure exactly what past.

Finally watched last night's episode!
I thought it was very good! I like the actor who is playing Aaron...I think he's a good fit for the character. I'm so excited to see where this season heads and how they're going to handle Alexandria. I also liked how Michonne took over reins in this episode!

Face down, too. Brilliant parenting there, Ricky-boy. :biggrin2:
Heard kids, but the gates remained closed and didn't see kids. Therefore I'm thinking a) loudspeakers playing stuff that puts incomers at ease (and is obviously only played for a few minutes at a time), and b) that the gates are going to open and reveal guns. A lot of guns. Being pointed straight at them.
But I'm really hoping I'm wrong, because if this another bunch of bad guys, I can't see how anyone - Rick especially - can trust anyone ever again. He's on the far side of the edge as it is.
And I really, really thought it was curtains for Glenn in this one.

Me, too. I like the thoughtful way they're going about these last few episodes, and I hope it's an indication of how the rest of the season is going to go. I'm curious about
Alexandria, too--wondering if they'll handle it the way it went in the comics. I like the way you can never be quite sure. One think I am suspicious of is what is going to happen to Glenn. Too many hints and threats that he's in peril--I think he's going to be around for quite a while. I was thinking it would be him that would die, but now I'm going with Maggie. The baby seat didn't bother me at all--we all (anyone born before the 80s, anyway) lived without one, and I doubt combing cars on the side of the road for another piece of plastic to lug around is registering on anyone's radar right now. It was a little dumb that Glenn didn't hit the wipers in the Z-nado, and I definitely would have shot Aaron in the back when he kicked the door and dropped Glenn--that was sketchy as hell--but I still found the ep absorbing. Rick was a douche, though I can sort of see why. He has so much riding on every decision, most particularly his kids. I totally thought he heard actual kids as they drove up--remember, when he was talking to Michonne, silence was his measure of how they should have known Woodbury and Terminus were bad. Him hearing kids is his (and our) hint that Alexandria is likely different... for awhile (lol). The whole premise is WALKING, so I don't expect anything to stay good for too long until maybe the end of the series. Maybe.

So, I mentioned A) to my teen son and he said

they've been walking, and barely surviving. They would not have carried a car seat....assuming they had previously had one.

What I especially liked, about the episode, and the comments here since, is that
nobody's batting an eye about there being a gay couple on the scene. The group was like "Whatever. Where's the food?" and folks here haven't even brought it up. I like that it's not even an issue.

This show has been praised for how the new show runner deals with race. He's done a good job blending in a diverse set of characters.

I forgot where I read the article, but it said that Maggie could likely go, too. (I still think Glenn might kick the bucket, soon, lol). As for Alexandria, I think that the rest of the season will most likely focus on our group assimilating there (if they do, lol). Now I'm thinking most likely they'll introduce Negan next season?

I just hope it is not a boring time, like it got to be at the farm. (I have not read the comics) Plus, I hope that Rick gets a shave soon. His beard looks like it might be growing small critters in there. :)
yeah it's getting a bit much..

I wasn't bored with
the farm at all--I liked that it showed who they were as people and what internal crises they were dealing with. I got bored in the next season with the whole Woodbury thing--Andrea was such a disappointment, and the governor wasn't nearly as scary as he could have been.

I agree, the whole prison thing seemed to take forever..and the governor?he reminded me of a bad elvis imitator..I know some like him,but he cracked me up when he talked..just listen to him sometime..not that he was a bad actor,he was okay and all,but if you listen to him.. ;)
