Good episode, I think.
I like Carol less and less each week. She's gone native, to an extent that is unsupported by natural character development. It's disappointing, to be honest, because her arc started so well this year. Rick's arc this ep was well done--it was good that they had him alone a good deal of the time, rather than having a drawn out series of discussions--it had more impact. Great to see him embrace his past and deny Carol's certainty that he could not have honesty and a place in the town. Shooting PorchPete... not so good. I think the way they played that whole scenario with Pete, Rick, and the wife (drawing a blank on her name) is going to end up frustrating their ends. Kirkman handled it better in the comics; at this point, how can there be any relationship with her? She has children, FFS, and they live in a small town. Reputation matters.

I watched it twice yesterday, and will probably watch it again to see what I missed. SO don't want to wait until October to see how this will all play out *sigh*

Thank you.

I beg to differ... ;;D

I think Carol is doing what she has to do. She has had plenty of experience dealing with an abusive husband and learned how to talk the talk and walk the walk.

Hey! EVERYONE!!!!

Do we actually know that Rick shot/ killed Pete? (I didn't see WHO Rick shot.) IF Rick shot Pete, was it a mortal shot? Or, maybe Rick shot and killed Reg? Deanna was *begging* Rick. To do what? Kill Pete or shoot Reg and put him out of his misery and keep Reg from turning into a walker? Ha! IDK.

I like the idea that
Rick shot Reg so he wouldn't turn. Diana wouldn't have a lot of experience with the thought of keeping her husband from turning. Rick does. So, while Diana was probably asking him to shoot Pete, Rick probably shot Reg to keep him from turning. Morgan and his morals can deal with that.

Differing is welcome! :) I guess I'm coming from a writer's perspective--
her character changed so abruptly that it isn't believable to me at all. I know she had the experience of the abused wife, but it's like she became a different person the second that they stepped into Alexandria. There was nothing to lead up to that, KWIM? Sasha going banana pants works, because we saw her going that way even before Bob died; it seemed like a natural progression to suicidal-sleeping-on-a-bed-of-zombies woman. As nice as it is to think that Rick shot Reg, I'd be irritated if that was the case. He looks up at Morgan, not around at him. Given his position, that of Reg, and that of Porchd*ck Pete, it would have to have been Pete that he shot. Anything else would be a cockadoodie cheat *she said in her best Annie Wilkes voice ;D*

I love this. I hope you are right.

Hey, you!

I do know what you mean and your thoughts makes sense. Mine are wishful thinking. Banana pants  Sasha, yeah. I could see her cheese slipping off the cracker. So, you think Sasha taking a break from zombie planting ON THE ZOMBIES is a bad thing? (That scared the beejeebers outta me.) I tend to *see* things when they aren't there and when I DON"T see things I wonder, Why not?

Have a great day!

Lmao! I can't wait to read Ms Mod's reactions to TWD
Ha ha ha. ;;D I'm still debating whether to just use this as one of those times when I remind myself that it isn't a job requirement to read/watch everything he writes as you know how I feel about this show. Why couldn't he have decided to write an episode of Outlander instead?! ;-D

sorry :) I'll do my best to stop laughing :) Watching all the eps without having to wait a week between eps will be fun! I think you should watch them :)

I hope SK never writes an episode for Downton Abbey.

I'm not sure even cookies are going to be enough to convince me I want to watch it. Reanimated corpses NOT my thing, no matter how often they're part of the plot. To be honest, I've been expecting it was just a matter of time but darn it, Steve, of all the shows to do. :table:
