Too long! This season sounds like it will be interesting. Scott Gimple was a good choice for show runner. Once he was able to clear up the narrative mess that was season 3 (too bad it took half of season 4), the show's been steaming along. I do hope they stick close to Kirkman's initial plan for how many seasons (he originally said 7, and I can see 8, but anything past that will be assaulting an expired equine) the show will go on. I have a huge affection for these characters, but every story has to end (or risk becoming a parody of itself).

I watched the first two episodes, and am continuing,as AMC is starting from the first to the new episodes..and am reminded of why I was so grabbed by the series..like many,I saw the zombie stuff and thought oh well, okay another zombie show, whoop de doo..but from the first moments, and into what happened to Rick,I was suspended from disbelief..I think Andrew is quite the actor. And it went on,and I was really captivated by the cinematography. There are closeups,in this first episode,of Andrew Lincoln, and Lennie James I think his name is,as Morgan..the emotions are great on their faces on the closeups..and Rick,as he walks to take out the first walker, really a crawler cause only she had a half left, the beautiful green of the trees and the park area, just setting off the reality of the situation, and the music was perfect..I do think the original episode is my favorite..

I agree. The first few were like movies--Darabont is a fine director. This is one of my favorite shows ever, but nothing so far compares to the first season.

Yes..as Rick walks up the ridge to put down the half walker, the music, the green of the trees and lawn around,it was awesome..such a peaceful setting, and Rick going to do his duty..agree,the first few ones were like movies..

What 5 characters do you think they’ll kill off this season...

Baby Judith. She’s just a drag on the show.

Father Gabriel. Everyone wants him to die anyway.

Abraham. He can’t keep sacrificing himself and get away with it forever.

Sasha. She’s gone off the deep end and crazy doesn’t last long.

Carol. Gotta have one big OMG, and she has gone to the Dark Side.

Good question! You're likely right about all but #1. Not that I don't want that to happen (works narratively), but hard to pull off without people having a screaming fit.

I agree they can’t have her bitten and then compel Carol to shoot her in the head upon zombieification at her newly opened daycare. But I could see Abraham (in yet another heroic attempt to save someone) on the roof of a high-rise, holding her tenderly surrounded by a hoard of walkers and in a no hope situation, saying “I won’t leave you” and jumping. That would turn the screaming fits into tears IMO.
