I agree they can’t have her bitten and then compel Carol to shoot her in the head upon zombieification at her newly opened daycare. But I could see Abraham (in yet another heroic attempt to save someone) on the roof of a high-rise, holding her tenderly surrounded by a hoard of walkers and in a no hope situation, saying “I won’t leave you” and jumping. That would turn the screaming fits into tears IMO.
Or Carol taking Lori's place, from the comics. In the comic, Lori lives through the birth, but then dies in the siege of the prison, while protecting her baby daughter--they both die when a bullet goes through Lori anyway and hits the baby. That would SO work (a version of it anyway) in this show. The one I think should die is Daryl, again, for narrative reasons. I like the character and the actor, but his character's arc is over.

Talk about fan screaming fits! Women all across the nation would be storming AMC headquarters with pitchforks and torches if they offed Daryl... Lead by a few here. :)

LOL! Maybe. I don't get too sentimental about characters--the story needs to be served first and best :)
I agree. I also think part of the allure of TWD is the unexpected killing off of major characters and the development of new ones. And I could go for a “Crossbow Bolt To The Head Friday” on the SKMB. :)
You two need to stop this right now before I have a full-fledged tantrum!

:Oo:

I find more disappointment in humanity not surviving such an apocalypse....
the ultimate purpose of a Daryl or Abraham or Michonne surviving is to serve as the guard/army for the group, especially Judith. It's like I've quoted before from the recent Battlestar Galactica version, when President Rosilyn, after having been picked 41st down the line of succession, looks at the number of survivors tallied up on a white board, after saying that she ran as pro-choice as secretary of education, and still was, that if the human race is to survive, they need to start having babies. Both Judith and her protectors are indespensable because if you just keep killing off one group after another except for one Bob or Carl, eventually humanity will die off altogether.

Gotta have Rick and Daryl. And yes, Morgan, too.
A group of soldiers who actually know what the stakes are and have successfully fought for those stakes over and over again and would be far more effective than the morally compromised and ignorant army (in the world of the Walking Dead anyway) that failed to prevent the apocalypse from happening in the first place.

We'll see. If for no other reason than
Lennie James being in demand for TV and movies on both sides of the pond, I can't see Morgan lasting past this season.

It probably wouldn't make for a good storyline, but if I were responsible for a group of people in the zombie apocalypse, I'd head for a private island off the Virginia coast. Only reachable by boat and easily patrolled. You could take trips to the mainland for supplies. Trap rainwater. Wind power and solar power for energy and a level of freedom from fear to rebuild civilization and normalcy. Of course you might have to fend off bad guys on occasion but a nice arsenal of rocket launchers, machine guns and maybe a light tank would go a long way.

My husband and I were just talking about that tonight! We finally got time to watch the last Fear the Walking Dead, and he said that in their position he'd head for Catalina Island. 40 mi or so off shore, lightly populated except with tourists (and one would think most of those would have fled--people generally try to go home in an emergency), good soil to plant... It could work.
