Good season ender, I thought. Though I did wonder why
NO ONE took a shot a Jadis when the was looming over the scene in her tower watch. That didn't make sense, but whatever. Maybe it happened when we weren't 'looking' :) The other thing that was a niggler was Sasha drinking water--her elbow went quite high. Coffins don't have a hell of a lot of room once the lid is closed, unless they took out all the padding and she was laying on cloth covered metal. I'll have to watch it again (I would anyway--my daughters would not STHU and I missed some of the dialogue) to see what it looks like when she lurches out.

Trying not to be too much of a noodge. My husband is a quality inspector in a steel and aluminum foundry, and he's driving me nuts with his muttering about the arrowheads and other metal objects the Kingdom is making (apparently, they aren't going to work--lol). And how about how they have a marked lack of walkers in one of the most high-density populated areas in the US--Alexandria, Va. isn't far from D.C. (and not in a forest--lol) Some things you just have to let slide, I guess.

Seeing Abraham again emphasized how much they lost with his death. He is a breath of fresh air in this mopey, navel-gazing crew. Take no prisoners, eat no s**t. He's a badass unlike anyone else the show has had. Rick is more like this in the comics. *sigh*

For next season, predictions (and these are not from anywhere but my head, FlakeNoir --lol): Carol and Morgan will die, if not right at the beginning in the mid season finale. They are both doomed and damned, by their own admission. Eric will die, to give Aaron a purpose/story. They can kill any number of Alexandrians, because we don't give a crap about any of them but Aaron. If there's any logic in this world, Judith will die, but she won't because the show is afraid of mama viewers (female viewership is high). Maybe they'll age her even faster and she'll take some of Sophia's comic book role (she's still alive in the comics, and Enid has taken some of her parts. Judith could be 'little girl Sophia', since we missed that part).

All Out War will satisfy almost no one--half will say it's too gory (Really? it is war, after all), and half will say they wussed out if someone doesn't explode into a puddle of goo every episode. I'm getting tired of the bickering in this fandom. If they tell a good, believable story (within the parameters of this world), I'll be satisfied. I'm easy, as a reader and viewer :)

I might be in the minority, but I liked this season. It's the natural second act--the beginning couldn't be much more bleak. And, if they follow decent writing strategy (a question, where $ is involved. And the writing has been uneven at times), it signals the end of the series is nearing--they're on the last upswing. It should be no more than a season or two, at best. Don't know if that will happen, but it should. I'll miss these guys.

Jeffery Dean Morgan beard was something last night on talking dead.

Yes, his beard was weird! My first thought was, "Why is Steve Carell on the panel?" Not kidding.

But wow, that was the best 'Talking Dead' I've ever seen! Loved the Shiva 'fan reaction shots'! Love how much affection the cast has for one another. When 'Abraham' walked out behind 'Sasha' carrying flowers, I almost teared up! Such a cool group of people. Not like those dicks from Downton Abbey! Not sure why I said that. Luckily I am protected from rabid Abbey-heads (GNTLGNT for example) by the veil of secrecy that is the spoiler. Otherwise that could have been ugly.

skimom2, you little sack of crazy, count yerself lucky you're not married to a coroner! Man, you'd be getting it from that guy every episode. "Rigamortis should have set in already! Why is on one making funeral arrangements? Those corpses haven't been properly embalmed!"

Seeing Abraham again emphasized how much they lost with his death. He is a breath of fresh air in this mopey, navel-gazing crew. Take no prisoners, eat no s**t. He's a badass unlike anyone else the show has had. Rick is more like this in the comics. *sigh*:)

Uh, no! In the context of the series, Merle was, is, and always will be Walking Dead's biggest baddass! In this there can be no debate.

I wonder if tho
I'll allow you a tie. :) Can you imagine them both together? YEE-HAW!

Wow, that'd be something alright. If Grin Willard was adrift in zombieland and was given the choice of any four to band with I'd pick them two, Daryl, and Carol. You'd need Daryl to keep Abraham and Merle from killing each other, and Carol is just cool. Toughest, smartest woman on the series. She can make herself invisible, bake lemon squares, and put a knife thru someone's skull! This season she took sort of a "personal day". I'm glad badass Carol is back.

How did I completely miss the fact that Jesus is gay?? I was discussing the finale with a friend and I said that I thought Jesus and Maggie would make a good couple. She's like.. uh, he's gay. What??? I missed that entire storyline. Sigh. I guess my brain just couldn't fathom this option and I slept through most of this second half.

It was a throw away comment, and it's really no big deal. In the comics
he has a brief thing with Aaron.
Given that this is AMC and the existing audience, I'd be surprised as hell if that makes it to TV.

AGREE.
One question from the finale though. How did she know who to attack? Hell, who cares. I cheered!
How did ANY of them know?
Like, Hilltop doesn't know all of Alexandria or The Kingdom or The Saviors or those stupid trash people, and the same goes for everyone else. The chance of getting hit by a 'friendly' was just as high as that of being hit by an 'enemy'!
Meh. Some things you just have to let go and roll with the story--lol.

Hey GNTLGNT, Lay off Merle!

Merle was already otherly abled. Then became life challenged! Merle could not catch a break. BTW, I'm seeing a bit of a family resemblance here! Could you be the third Dixon brother, Dewey? Dewey Dixon?

Now watch this, and prepare to squirt a few tears. Is it my imagination or is Merle trying to shake it off?! Watch him, when Daryl pushes him he looks like a guy trying to shake off a bad hangover! If they'd chained him to a tree and gave him a steady redneck diet of beer & slim-jims he probably would have come out of it. Damn Merle, you tough sonofabitch!

Well, seriously, aren't most rednecks pretty much already on the level of brain dead zombies? Uh oh,I am going to catch some flak for that little piece of gold!
