I liked Rosita's use of the rocket(?) launcher to take out that baddy. I thought it was awesome. Not so happy that Rick just walked into the trash people's lair, asked them to join, then was just left there naked. I know he has a plan and everything but what the heck? I really hope the queen of garbage, a/k/a Mrs. Spock, gets her guts spilled at some point. I really, really don't like that b.

Yep. I could feel my IQ dropping as I watched.
Especially the bit in the warehouse. You'll know the specific scene. Or maybe not, because even Michonne seemed to have had her brain removed and Rosita pretty much threw her weapon away.
Still, it was good how Daryl "Ex Machina" Dixon turned up just in time to T-bone the pick-up with the bitchin' sound system, despite being on an ostensibly unrelated trip. /sarcasm
And re: the scene with Carl. Hasn't he ended up under a few zombies before, thanks to being stupid? Plus that first Walker must have had a Snickers or something, because Carl's arm was right there, waiting - nay, begging - to be chewed as he wrestled with Walker #2, and zed was like 'Nah, you're alright, mate. I'm not hungry.'
Exactly! Just dumb on top of stupid on top of idiotic. Worst episode in the series (and that's saying something--lol)

We stopped watching half way through last season. Watched the 1st episode with hopes, then, watched another, but nope. Totally done now.

I though a certain character could keep me watching, but, even that has lost it's entertainment value.

Maybe they are doing it on purpose trying to push people over to Fear....
Will never happen. I gave that 2 full seasons, and it never got any better than 'meh'.

Just more random thoughts (since no one asked for them ;)).

Ignoring the obvious question of 'why keep them alive in the first place?' (Answer: fake tension via conflict) and the equally obvious outcome (the Saviors' eventual breakout), why, if it was possible to erect a holding pen without attracting hordes of walkers, would you not build it on the outside of the compound and build a platform above where two guards, max, would keep watch, instead of building it inside where i: it poses a massive security risk and ii: you need upwards of five people to stand guard? Secondly, if you absolutely had to have it inside the walls, would you also not make it a bit, erm, sturdier? As it is, that thing would hold me for about five minutes, and that's because I'm old (well, middle aged), (slightly) overweight and knackered. In my prime, call it 90 seconds, two minutes, tops. By the time the dozy buggers on stag realised anything was wrong and had 'A-Teamed' it all over the place, it'd be job done. As, I suspect, it will eventually turn out, because hey, Maggie isn't just going to walk into a container by herself, is she?

Re: the crossover to FTWD...seems 'tis to be Morgan. Maybe that's why he had a recurrence of his mental breakdown went a-roamin' a few eps back. Still, AFAIK, it's a hell of a walk from Virginia to (Baja) California (which is where the action was at the end of S2, which is as far as I've seen). And that's without several million zombies staggering about and generally making life a tad tricky.
But, thing is, how do the timelines match up? TWD is, roughly, 3 years after the ZA (going by Judith's age and the term of Lori's pregnancy). FTWD is, or was, the direct aftermath of the breakout. So, unless TWD really has irreparably damaged my IQ, the two don't match unless FTWD has skipped ahead (once or several times) or is about to.
It's a stupid idea to prop up a stupid show. (I'm sickish and out of sorts today, can you tell? lol)

THAT is where I yelled at the TV. A lot of it was profane.
SHE HAD A G**DAMNED RPG AND SHE CHOSE TO YELL AT A MF TRUCK! WHAT THE ACTUAL F**K?! Note: this is much cleaner than what I actually yelled. This is why I don't watch football on TV--I scare my family.

Yep. Use an RPG on a guy standing a few yards away, in an enclosed area. OK. Bye-bye, Rosita, you're gone too. As for Michonne and Truck Lady...unconsciousness and perforated eardrums at the very, very least. Probable shrapnel injuries, definitely some internal bleeding or other consequences from the shockwave. Most likely case, no one walks away. Well, not until they resurrect, anyway. Put it up there with Ezekiel's Miraculous Leg Wound (aka 'I took a .50 cal round to the shin and my leg wasn't blown half a mile away!').
I also 'lost it' when she yelled at the truck, tbh. It was "Where TF is that f***ing RPG? You know she's in the truck, so just reload the MF and blow it TF up!"
My gf just looked over and went, "Come on. You should know it's a load of b*llocks by now".
And she's right. I should and I do. It's why I say they just aren't trying anymore, and/or are treating viewers with contempt. That can only be a fit of pique coming from the top, because said viewers didn't appreciate the awesomeful (sic) geniusnessness (sic) of last season. And yeah, I know I should stop watching and deny them the encouragement to offer up more of the same, but as I say I've invested too much time now to walk away without a resolution and I keep hoping it'll recover. And, as the saying has it, it's the hope that kills you.

I also saw the bit on Talking Dead with Lennie James saying about joining FTWD. Didn't he look thrilled? :D

Hope you're feeling better!

I'm sure the crossover will predate Morgan's second arrival with TWD crew. He was missing from TWD from seasons 2-5 or 6.

So if that's right and it's what the writers and show runner(s) have in mind (and there's no reason why it isn't/won't be), not only did he cross the country once, but at some point he decided he missed Georgia and went all the way back, only to just happen to run into Rick and co.'s trail and follow them up to Virginia?
Umm...Or should that be "dum(b)".
Man, what are those folks smoking?

I thought the most likely candidate for crossover was Abraham because I believe his backstory had him in Texas at some point before he met up with Rick.

You're right.
Didn't he meet Eugene in Texas, after the woman and kids he was with (his family? I don't think they ever cleared that up, and the woman seemed petrified of him IIRC) got chewed?
Would've made more sense. But hey, there's that word again. ;)

Yeah, Abraham is from Houston. It would have made a lot more sense than (redacted) ;) . That was his family. I think she was freaked out because of how he went into combat mode. It made me think of what my mom said about my dad after his second tour of Vietnam: the guy who came home was not the guy who left. And that was after the war fact. Abraham's family got the dubious pleasure of seeing him jacked up in the moment. Not good for anyone.

HBO knows how to end a show without dragging it into the mud.

Boardwalk Empire is a good example.

I think they are good at that because they don't depend on ratings and ad revenue. They just want enough good shows to attract x number of subscribers. Since they aren't depending on advertising revenue, they don't need to keep a money making show going past it's prime like a regular network does.

The only thing I can say in Rosita's defense is
she reached randomly into a case looking for a weapon and pulled out the RPG. She only had the chance to use it once, then the sympho-truck was out the door... she didn't grab any more rounds on hand to fire, it was a random reach.

I have to admit, maybe am a bit embarrassed to do so,but I slept through most of it..and when I woke up,I was unmotivated to watch the reruns that were going on all night..sad to say,but this show that I really liked for several years has degenerated into silliness that I just can't watch with any kind of real interest anymore.Thought I was the only one until reading the last couple of pages here. The best thing they could do is end the series, sometime soon, because their hubris about being the number one series or whatever is now beyond the pale.Let it go..
