Nope. Scott M Gimple said on the Talking Dead that it's a walker bite, and there's no coming back from it. He did say, cryptically, that for now, Carl is still alive. What he does with his time is important.

Chandler has cut his hair, the one irrefutable tell that he's outta there.

I think that Carl will go out heroically in the time that he has left. I hope they give him a great episode in the second half premier.

Thanks for clarifying that. Well, maybe Carl can still die heroically. Providing he has enough time Carl can trick Negan and kill him as he turns...or he can simply go on another suicide mission since he's a dead man walking. Also, someone feed Eugene to the walkers, please. Thanks. :)

Personally, I think this is the death knell for the show. Fans are calling for Gimple's head all over social media.
I am ready for the show to end. I know Kirkman has said he wants the show to go on forever and I bet he's raking in money hand over fist but the show needs to end respectably. The writing has suffered this season. They usually work hard to respect the viewers' intelligence but a few times they've fumbled or were flat out lazy.

I agree. They could have saved the show, but the bumbles this season have no excuse.

Everybody's talking about last night's big shocker, but I can't get past
Rick had his hands on Lucille, standing over Neegan. Just standing there. For, like, AGES. How could he not take a swing? He didn't even try. That already put me off. The last few minutes just sealed my already doomed opinion of the show.

Yes, exactly! This is the big moment I was thinking about from last night in particular. I kept thinking, "Are you going to shove Lucille in his face, Rick, like you're plunging a toilet? Really?" He could have smashed his skull once. Lights out. Rick's Batman and Joker banter was just sickening, sorry. Negan is the man who emasculated Rick, almost had him chop off Carl's arm, killed his friends in a horrible spectacle, and much more. Rick should have been seething with hatred toward Negan. Also, Flake all ready mentioned the ridiculous junkyard scenes and Rick unable to escape his tied ropes. (Sigh)

The show has gotten repetitive and they are clearly extending it as long as possible by having as little happen as they can get by with. If I have to watch another character go through the should we kill them all or be civilized struggle, it might be a bridge too far. That has gotten beyond tiresome. I'm preferring Z-Nation these days which takes itself less seriously. Old Doc is the man on that show.
