Spoiler(Well I kinda thought that last night's episode was bit dull)

I thought it was alright...
If the truck's a rockin'...

I have a question...
I don't remember if the Governor was pretty much a good guy before his daughter was killed. When he burned the photo of his daughter and Woodbury, he seemed to want to escape the agonies of the past and become a caring person again.

He definitely had his flaws when we first saw him in Woodbury...

I think burning the picture was him trying to move on from the past.

And this might sound wrong but...

Last night's episode made me like the Governor more than I like Rick. Choosing a name for himself from a wall of messages to loved ones made me think he really does want to start over. I'm glad Martinez is back. Do y'all think there will be trouble between the Governor and Martinez?

hehe... It's probably wrong to torment Flake too lol

I HATE that they made us sit through an episode about the Governor instead of Rick talking to Daryl about Carol. HATE it.
And I feel like they're manipulating us with the Governor. He's a murderous psychopath and now he's a hero? Please.
I think it's more a case of
him playing nice until he gets a chance to get rid of the kid's mom.
I think he burned the picture because he plans to replace his daughter with this new little girl.
He's not a hero. He's got an agenda.

I think you're exactly right, LL. Don't trust him for a second.

In other news, I had a DT dream last night & Andrew Lincoln was Roland. I'd never thought of it before, but it worked!

First, I am not a doctor, I am not a psychologist nor am I a psychiatrist.

But......

I think in his own mind the governor was good all along. He did what he did for "good" reasons. he loved his wife and daughter. And, he did set up a community that kept a lot of people safe. Many of those people would have died if they hadn't been taken in.

He is replacing his wife and daughter....and IN HIS MIND I think this is the first step in setting up a similar set up, this time with a Queen and Princess at his side.

I think people rarely think what they do is evil, or even wrong. We can make anything reasonable in our own minds--objectivity is not our strong suit. That's what makes a layered character so interesting. I like what SK said in the notes of "FULL DARK, NO STARS" : "Bad writing usually arises from a stubborn refusal to tell stories about what people actually do--to face the fact, let us say, that murderers sometimes help old ladies cross the street."

and I totally think Mr. Governor was going to take the kid, one way or another. He couldn't give a crap about the women (and, in this case, I don't blame him. They're both freaking annoying.)

Who else thinks Carol
might be the one to kill the governor? (If he is even killed...)
I can't remember
if Carol ever even got to see the Governor. Was she back at the prison the whole time they were dealing with him? If so, I could see her meeting up with the Govs band of people and maybe falling in with them not knowing. That might put her in a position to do something about his deranged arse!
