There were also zombies in the building as some places were closed off. they were also all over the place outside
The other people in the school were becoming aggressive to me so i decided i was going to leave
I was standing at the door looking outside at the zombies and wondering if i could make it
Thats when i woke up lol.

Oh, man, I wish I could remember what I was watching the other day. Some older movie. And in one scene, or series of scenes, there's somebody standing behind the main character that's doing whatever. It took my brain a minute to recognize what I was seeing because I'm so used to seeing Daryl, but then it hit me. THAT'S DARYL! I waited for another scene, and sure enough. It was Daryl, through and through. This show/movie/whatever it was has to be at least 10 years old, so it's not possibly Norman Reedus (as he looks now, as Daryl), but I'm telling you, it looked dead-on like Daryl. I wish I'd come running here and said something so I'd remember what it was! That's going to drive me NUTS.

I know he's in Blade 2, if that helps? We watched it again a while back, and I was like, "Oh yeah, it's Daryl!" And he looks so young, bless!! :p

(Fingers crossed no one misunderstands me...)
She definitely is someone you'd want at your side - or watching your back - in that world because of her strength...but to what degree is she strong because of the way her marriage was?
See why I crossed my fingers? :smile2:
In no way am I saying getting beat on is or can be a good thing. It's not a justification for what Ed did (or what other men - and some women - do to their partners IRL). And yes, she was a whole person before her marriage, etc. (And yes, losing her daughter like she did would also have an extremely strong effect.)
I suppose what I mean is, whatever strength was there in the first place has been tested and tempered by experience. She either knows that if she can survive that, she can survive anything, or she just doesn't care whether she survives or not because she's used to the grind; where others find (or are finding) it to be their crucible, for her it's a case of been there, done that, is there anything else?
There've been a couple of hints about her true or 'original' character throughout the series, though. There was the obvious one in the last ep - simply having gone there in the past shows a certain strength of character, regardless of what she obviously did next - but then, in season one, she's one of the ones who says she misses her vibrator (iirc). The simple fact that she had one signals a certain defiance - her hubby surely wouldn't have tolerated her having such a thing, and she knew what his reaction would be - as well as the presence of a secret, vital part of her character that has not only withstood the violence, but has...not thrived on it, but has certainly not been beaten, in any sense, yet as we also saw this week, she's still vulnerable.
But as I've said before, it's an incredible performance and character development all round.
As for Carol and Daryl...they've both survived terrible abuse (remember Daryl's scars?), so they have that as a common bond. They don't speak about it much, but then they don't have to. They just know.

I agree. Carol is strong because of her experiences. I guess I hope that if the ZA really happened(or something like it) that I would become strong like her.

Ok great i can't wait to hear it lol.
And then I forgot to come back to it! (sorry)

So, my 16-year-old has a Katana and likes to practice his moves and (although he's not following any particular discipline) he does like his martial arts.
Well, his sword is supposed to be (and usually is) stored in our garage when he's not using it and the other day I was moderating from my room and it was warm, so I had my bedroom sliding door open.
My youngest (6-years-old) had one of the neighbour kids over and they were (I thought) riding the scooter and bike out the back.
I suddenly focused in more on what they were actually saying because I heard one of them say "scabbard" and thought... 'hmmm, better check up on this'.
I get outside and my boy has his friend backed up against the fence, Katana pointed somewhere in the region of his stomach! :icon_eek:

Me: "Whatcha doing there, N?"
N: (son): "Aw nothing, "A" stole my treasure from our ship, I'm a pirate and I'm gonna get it back."
Me: "How're you doing there, "A"?
A: (friend): "It's true, I stole his treasure."
Me: "Walk over here to me, "A", that's right, behind me." (I wasn't too keen on the pirate gleam in my son's eyes.)
N: (son) "Aw, Mum!"
Me: "I'm going to take the Katana now "N" and we'll have a little talk to "M" about leaving his sword lying around, yar?"

So, as he stepped toward me I didn't move fast enough and got a little Katana poke in the leg for my troubles. (Purely accidental, I hope!!!)

Boys... :biggrin2:

Reminded me of when we were kids: when we lived on Okinawa, my parents bought some blunt Katana for decoration, short sword and long sword. We had them around forever, no one paid much attention to them... until one day my middle brother pushed my youngest brother too far (that was middle brother's specialty). 6 yo grabbed the long sword off the wall and, mad gleam in his eye, whacked 9 yo with it. 9 grabbed short sword and flailed, but 6 was beyond caring. He screamed, raised the long sword over his head, & rushed in. 9 realized that he'd gone too far and took off up the street, 6 in hot pursuit. This all happened in about a minute. When 12 and 14 (oldest brother and me) could stop laughing (kids have a weird sense of humor), we chased down the littleuns and retrieved the swords. VERY lucky no one fell down and stabbed themselves or another kid. Swords disappeared for many years afterward--in fact, I just saw them for the first time in 33 years, in a box in my mother's garage. :)

What a great episode. These season has tied up nicely.

That cop headbutting scene was tense. That whole time I was wondering if he'd actually do that...
Me too, I kept wanting to believe that he wouldn't and we were just going to see Sasha get some closure (don't like that word) over Bob by helping the cop get some of his own, but nooooo.... boompha. Damn.

And bloody hell, that scene with Daryl on the ground using the Zombie head as a weapon? Ewwww gross man!
It was a good episode... I am so worried about next week now though, so many things could go wrong.

Oh! And...

That--forgot his name--Priest guy... wth? He's messed up and I don't trust him at all.
