Move him to a better facility in Argentina or euthanize him. This is so inhumane - 20 INCHES of water?? in Argentinian heat?? - that it makes my blood boil.

I agree with moving him even if they did take the risk of taking him to Canada. Seems a much better route than what is now occurring. Don't like to think about him suffering away his last few years.

This is very sad. If they could only bring him to our zoo here in Winnipeg this is what his enclosure would look like: (versus suffering Argentinian heat and having only 20 inches of water in his enclosure where he is now!)

That picture is amazing neesy. the polar bear musbt be in heaven lol i wish the one in Argentina was there too.
They recently renovated our old zoo and even though the price has gone up, it's much nicer now. (Plus it gets so darn cold here in Winnipeg the bears will feel right at home in the winter!)

(Andy and I just recently walked through that part - it was neat to look up and see a polar bear paw right over your head).

This makes me feel even worse for poor José Frio (or whatever his name is - the link won't work for me because of Yahoo issues).

This just pisses me off that this polar bear has to endure the seasons in Argentina.
