Was reading this paperback years ago The Final Conclave...sure seems strange that when the pope passes, at some point they knock him in the head with a silver hammer and ask him if he's dead. Wonder if anyone ever goofed? Got sent down to one of the lower levels of purgatory...or maybe just got sent to clean the nun's john over in Florence or some place. Wondered at the time, too, if the Beatle's song was about their silver hammer...bang! bang! Maxwell's silver hammer la-la la-de-toe!

They have found relics made from the robes he was wearing when he got shot, so my guess is that whoever stole the blood are planning to make some big $$$$$$ from selling pope blood relics?

I did Google - I think I typed in Pope with sunglasses or something inane like that and guess who popped up? Was he the "fashionable" Pope then?
