It would have been sacrilegious to make it an even hundred, huh? (Wasn't George Bush involved with Texas somehow? Just wondering.)
"99 Pack" sounds cooler.....
W lives in Texas, but I'm not sure why that is relevant.
I was making a connection between 99 cans of beer and Mr. Bush. Guess my connection fell, um, flat.
One day, I'm going to get one of those packs of beer and sticky tack every one of those bottle/cans to the wall. 
Are they going to put it on the wall?
And then take one down and pass it around?
If you got one of these you'd have 99 problems, but... well, ya know...
I was wondering why they chose cans... bottles woulda fit the song better, but are more apt to create a mess...
One hundred might be considered promoting alcoholism.
I've lived in Texas at one point in my life and nothing of mine ever got bigger than it was before......
Bottles would be heavier and would break more easily. But, after your 40th or so can of beer who would care?

You could buy two cases, Giant and use them as stilts.
...now that's my kinda thinkin'!....
Not sure drinking while wearing stilts would be advisable.
You can tell people you only drank a fourth of a case Saturday night.
...hell, it ain't advisable for me to drink and walk-stilts or no....ever wanted to see a human redwood fall?...it would be amusing...
