This is the most unintentionally hilarious thing i've ever seen.

Some things in this miniseries that had me rolling with laughter:

Mrs. Kersh turning into Beverly's dad while still wearing women's clothing and yelling "Won't do you any good to run, Bevvy!"

Pennywise turning Henry into Jim Jarmusch.

The dog in the clown suit.

Stan's head in the fridge basically doing a stand up routine.

We just rewatched this in the weekend, before heading the theatre.

I was the only one laughing....glad it's not " just me" after all.

However, Religiously_Unkind , I do not think the humour was unintentional. He's a clown....

Pennywise was not the only funny thing; the acting and line deliveries from a lot of the actors had me rolling, especially the line "Why is it so MEAN?"

The mini-series is very different from the new movie. It was made on a much smaller budget. They also had lots of restrictions that limited what they could do. They couldn't show children in danger, which is why you hardly ever saw Pennywise go in for the kill. The special effects were very limited, especially because of the budget, and the time period.

But the new one is funny too.

I was fortunate. There were only about a dozen people in the theatre. (No phones interrupted.) I was not the only one laughing.

I just watched the miniseries for the first time last night, and I have to say, it wasn't as bad as I was expecting it to be! And I say this is after seeing the new remake a couple months ago. Of course, there are definitely parts that had me laughing, especially the bad, bad CGI, like when Pennywise jumps down the tiny hole, and the spider Itself, lol. I was thinking, that thing doesn't look like it could put up much of a fight! But it got poor Eddie anyway, before everyone else pushed it over and punched it to death. :triumphant: But it was the 90s, and they didn't have a multi-million dollar budget, so...
But really, it wasn't bad at all.

I am in love with 90s Richard Thomas! :love_heart::love_heart::love_heart:

I described it as funny to one person and he was surprised that I said that. I heard a lot of people laughing nervously during the first viewing.
