This would not happen with our Westjet whose headquarters are here in Alberta. One of the things they look for when they are hiring staff is a great sense of humor. The flight crew keeps the passengers entertained. They are very good at what they do. This stupid airline could take a page from their book.

We're used to one said/other said, and who knows where the truth may lie. But when you have a cadre of other passengers affirming the behavior, that puts it in finer perspective. There's a flight attendant who needs an attitude adjustment.

I was in a flight one time where, to start the safety lecture, the speaker said, "Now that you've all fastened your seat belts, we're going to show you how you did that." I cracked up, and I guarantee that more people on the plane actually listened. It also featured such lines as, "In the highly unlikely event of a water landing in Nebraska..."

Our flight crew on Westjet were so funny. They also had games to play with us ...one involved passing a roll of toilet paper from customer to customer lol. It was a real laugh. They are the folks who gave out gifts to all the customers. When they boarded, all the passengers were asked what their favorite gift from santa would be. When they landed, they had that gift waiting. This year they went to the Phillipines and did the same for folks in a poor village. I do believe some kid wanted a pony and got one too.
