Paul Revere was born in 1735.
Yes, it's just the coins from the 1600s. In other words, they were already quite old when the capsule was interred.

Paul Revere was born in 1735.
The box was opened before in the nineteenth century so they know what was in it them.

Right, well, they didn't exactly write a clear sentence there. They should have put "coins from the 1600s" first and then there would have been no confusion. But, writing on a deadline these things happen.
