OK, i confess. I'm usually hopeless at sleeping but now, when darkness comes creeping back i must admit that my whole bode yearns to do as the bears. Go into a cave somewhere and sleep for some months. Not yet but when oktober is over it will be even darker. Dark when you get up and dark when you go home from work. So much better to just sleep for three months and wake in the beginning of march or middle of february or so. I awake sleepy and work sleepy and go to bed sleepy. I would like to nestle in my nice bed and return hungry and filled with energy three months later. In short: To Hibernate. Do you think i've been a bear in a former life? Or just a little unhinged in general?

Never unhinged dear Kurben. And yes, you may have been a bear in another life- All things are possible. However, may I suggest some Vitamin D- the darkness and lack of sun can do many strange things to one''s body and mind set. I don't know whether I could ever adjust to months of darkness. Be well and dream only good dreams.......

Now I know I'm unhinged and my relationship with sleep is a fraught one. The fall season is wonderful but the shortening days and the upcoming time change make me cranky like a bear. Hibernating does have it's attraction, but it would take away reading time so it's not an option for me.

Oh yeah! But they don't sleep right through, they tend to line up in the drive through for a cup of coffee at Timmys.
...yesh, but are they paying it forward?....

I might be getting a little more sleep soon (hopefully). For the past couple of months, my dog has been pacing around at night, waking me up wanting me to let him out. He seems to have a thing for 3:30am. I took him to the vet yesterday and the vet is thinking the pacing is due to possible arthritis pain (he is 12+ years old). He gave Ozzy prescriptions for anti-inflammatory and pain. I just started the pill giving last night and I can already see a difference in Ozzy's activity level. I am hoping this solves the issue of waking me up at 3:30 every night. ;-D

Forget about reading there for a moment. That would be a serious setback to my hiberenating plans. Hmmm.... If you somehow could read while sleeping... Gotta think this over.
