A Horned Toad from my neck of the woods. My mom and I went and caught six of the buggers one summer and kept them as pets until it was time for them to hibernate. They are such great pets, and the babies are as cute as kittens!
I needed to get to another level of the tower so I threw my toad in the incinerator and went toad ash.
I have the same duality. So, no offense taken and you're probably right.Yeah, seems to be a mini beer can by it's feet.

So,those are the same ones that are in Australia,that are such a pest? Ugh..reminds me of the toads in SK's short story Rainy Season..I have to be careful when I leave the door open for the dog to go outside that I don't get one in the house. One night I was watching tv and kept hearing this knocking sound. I couldn't figure out what it was and I was moving stuff around trying to find where this weird sound was coming from. I finally discovered a giant toad was behind my couch jumping into the wall over and over.
I love the cartoon of Michigan J. Frog singing and dancing...then when the guy takes him to the producers nothing. Makes me laugh every time.

Cane Toads are a menace up in Queensland. They probably drink the blood from virgins or something.
