There are so many more transgender victims that have passed because of who they are, either by the misdeeds of others, or by their own hands. They should all be mourned. Nobody should have to die because of who they are, who they love, or how they live.

Likewise, I celebrate the brave souls who have had the courage to transition. Not just one day of the year, but every day.
I personally have a trans nephew whose bravery on his journey astounds me.

Were I braver in my youth, you might be addressing me as sir.
