I understand your point but, for me, I've been riveted. My mind is bubbling with questions as I watch but that's part of the fun. I've laughed out loud a few times, too. The glass box freaks me out.
I will say that the creepy glass box is intriguing and I hope we find out what "billionaire" owns it. When all is said and done I will need you to explain this show to me ;-D

I know the video sounds like a joke, but it's not. Lynch makes cooking quinoa look like a scene from The Godfather. Ha. While waiting for it to boil he lights a cigarette in the dark and tells the strangest and most hypnotic story I've heard in a while.
He's definitely not a boring man. He's on a whole 'nutha level......

I finished episodes 3 & 4 last night. Always loved Twin Peaks and I can't wait to catch the next installment. My wife came into the room and she had never gotten into the original show. She watched for a little bit and asked: "what the hell is this show even about?". Given what I had just witnessed in the show, I could not come up with a satisfactory answer.

I'm still trying to find meaning in the little boy getting hit by the truck.

I need someone to give me a pep talk to continue with this. I'm trying, I REALLY am.

I wish I could say something like: "stick with it - it will all pay off in the end." Of course if you've seen Fire Walk With Me, and given the nature of David Lynch, that's rather unlikely...

As weird as this show is, I'm still riveted and can't wait to watch some more.

I think of it as an experience, rather than something to be understood. I'd suggest just going with the flow, I find that much more enjoyable than trying to decipher everything (assuming the latter is what you're doing).

The episode last night was fantastic. A rare example of a show not driven by ratings. Pure experimental art. The masses will hate it because it is not narrative driven but requires them to think a bit to interpret what is happening and there is no right answer. It is more like a dream state. And the Woodsman was a real bad dude. I give Showtime a ton of credit for trying this in the age of Idiocracy and reality TV where the History Channel runs nothing but UFO and ghost shows.

I thought the same thing Rx (hope you like the nickname), lol. I watched 75% of the episode with my jaw hanging open. It was very gutsy for Showtime and I applaud them. Did you have that phrase
"Gotta light?!"
going through your mind? :)

I think the various interpretations of each episode are as interesting as the show itself. Part of the fun of TP is that there is no right or wrong view of what happened. EW does a thorough job of trying to make sense of it. Here is a four page review of the most recent episode. Some of it is plausible and some probably complete BS but still fascinating to see it all analyzed.

Yesterday I received my copy of Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier by Mark Frost. I've already read Frost's The Secret History Of Twin Peaks when it was released and it seems that UFO's are playing a major (see what I did there?!) part in this new show. I can't wait to get my hands on the bluray set this week!!

I confess: I've never watched a single episode of Twin Peaks. The revival is on Netflix, but I don't really want to start it unless I've watched the original series, which isn't on Netflix for some reason.
