Name's Jackal. Don't really like introducing myself but anyway... I like reading Stephen King books though I tend to stick to the novellas since I'm not patient enough to read one of the really long novels (keep thinking about reading IT but it's over 1000 pages) I watch every movie adaption I can find, even own a few Dreamcatcher, Tommyknockers, The Langoliers. I also like writing and drawing and being a smart *ss and that's about as interesting as I get. If you're still reading you're more patient then I am,

Welcome to the Board Mate. Yes, some of Sai King's books are real door stoppers. I enjoy all his work. Short storey collection is great as well; (Skeleton Crew/Night Shift/Everything Eventual/Full Dark, No Stars/Just after Sun Set). Read a storey, put book down and go do something. Come back to read another storey between business. I do the same with thick books, read a chapter and wander off before coming back for another chapter.

The longer books always intimidated me as a kid. I had "The Stand" and "IT" sitting on the shelves for years before I finally cracked them open.

Welcome to the board
When I was younger I wouldn't have approached a book of any type the size of IT or UTD, or any number of sK's. I had too much nervous energy; also, I've wondered that I don't have a bit of some kind of attention deficit disorder (though I admit to a tendency to self-diagnose as well as -medicate), since I find myself rereading sentences/paragraphs to be sure I get what I'm reading.

I go back over things like that as well. It was worse when I was in school, before exams I would go over everything multiple times and keep wondering if there was something I missed. I can't really complain about the results, I did graduate, but I ask myself those same kinds of questions about why I second guess everything.
