I love love love the show. However one detail I can't swallow. When the government bombed it from the outside, they totally flattened all surrounding landscape. All was burned to a crisp, no trees left, anything. So how is it that now, when the insiders look out through the dome, we see regular green landscape. What am I not getting? Anyone have a plausible explanation?

So maybe the Dome hasn't imprisioned the good people of Chester Mills but it's really protecting them from some global disaster (see The Stand)?
