Lone Star beer shoulda given Texas a higher grade than 20. It's a great beer and the bottle caps make really cute refrigerator magnets

Is it a good one, no bounce? I believe you can purchase that here. I don't think I need magnets, but you never know.

Mississippi ranked 50? Okay, but no mention of Lazy Magnolia pecan ale? For shame. It's fab-yoo-lus.
Why focus on Shiner for the great state of Texas? It's crap beer and not worth a handful of hops - they needed to cite some interesting Austin brews.
And for Pete's sake - Tennessee is number 33 on the list? Really? Then why are craft breweries like TailGate moving their works from San Diego to Nashville?
These guys could have knocked the ball out of the park with this article - Lord knows only three of them wrote it! - but they didn't do the necessary research that would have credited all states with far more than what's mentioned in the article.

Lone Star is decent, but falls in the "meh" category for me personally. My current state comes in at 17 and the place in Tampa they specifically cite I have been to several times. There are a ton of microbreweries here in sunny FLA and all of them pretty good. The Dunedin Brewery is particularly yummy. I do have to say that the best bottled beer I've ever had was Long Trail Ale from Vermont. I prefer a less stout beer myself and the crispness and finish of that beer is spectacular.Is it a good one, no bounce? I believe you can purchase that here. One of the bars I worked at had a guy who came in 5 days a week for happy hour that made us special order that stuff for him here in Florida. I didn't see the big deal honestly, taste like Pabst Blue Ribbon. Not saying it's bad but I never understood why he thought it was so great it had to be shipped in. He sure did drink enough of it though
We had a guy from Ohio who made us do the same thing with a beer called "Holy Moses" that tasted like a poor mans Blue Moon after you add the orange. I thought of asking why he didn't just order a blue moon and some orange slices but I didn't want to offend him

My apartment (At least until tomorrow, I'm moving on the 1st) is pretty close to the Yuengling brewery. I know that one didn't start here but I always liked it. There is another one called coppertrail down near 2nd ave that has some good stuff.

IMHO-PBR is the worst beer I ever tasted! No offense anyone...

The worst by far is "Steel Reserve", with "Natural Ice" coming in a close second. We use to drink that stuff when we were teenagers because it was cheap and had high alcohol content. It's basically a half step above Malt Liquor lol
Yeah, right off Adamo. I've been there once or twice. I'd also suggest making the trek across the Howard frankland and trying out The Ale n the Witch in downtown St.Pete. They host beers from the local breweries. Florida Ave Ale is one of my favorites. Ringside Cafe also has some good stuff they host, too. I recently went to 3 Daughters Brewing Co. in St. Pete. It had some great beers and was also a pretty cool place with lots of corn toss boards, giant Jenga and Connect 4. They also have something to do with the Pedal Pub. Which is pretty cool, but seems like a good way to get puking sick pretty quickly.
