Well boo! Remind him that doors last for years. It's a one-time thing. And you'll be saving money by not having to super heat or cool the house! So new doors are totally worth the upfront cost. Logic, it gets the men every time. (At least, it does mine...)
Plus I feel sorry for the Albanian guy who will be doing them (the doors). He is supporting eight people in his house. I trust him being in our house as well, which is a big bonus.

Even Andy was impressed with the quality of work he did for our main floor bathroom - it is completely renovated and looks perfect now - he does excellent work :encouragement::star:

I like what Manny Delgado has to say on the subject:

Valentine's Day: The one day a year when the rest of the world tries to be as romantic as I am every day. Good luck, world!

An easy thing to say, of course.

How many y'all ever read The Chaser, by John Collier? (or maybe you saw the Twilight Zone episode)

One always learns one's mystery at the price of one's innocence.

She is of the earth, and her body is her shop and her temple
And whatever her body tells her is all the law and the prophets
You don't know her
But far worse, you don't know yourself.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I only recently discovered Modern Family and now I am recording so many episodes. Hubby was not keen on it at first (he says Cam is such a drama queen!) but he is taking to it now, as he likes Jay.

I bought myself a box of these to celebrate. VD is an excellent excuse to buy candy for oneself. Everyone thinks it is for someone else...

Yum!!
You're right! - maybe I should stop being so cheap and just go out there today and pay the full price :m_adore:

the thing is if I can wait just one day I will get it at 50% off (I must have a thrifty gene I inherited from my Dad)

This place looks very good (but also quite pricey):

Chocolatier Constance Popp Shop - 14 Photos - Chocolatiers & Shops - 180 Provencher Boulverd, Winnipeg, MB - Phone Number - Yelp

She does a chocolate replica of the Canadian Museum of Human Rights (who could eat that much chocolate?)
