Sammy era VH is the best. Better song writing, better vocals, better performances.
That said I dig the DLR stuff too. Except for the train wreck last 2 tours and regrettable live album from Tokyo.
Fair Warning is my favorite Dave era album. Meanstreets is the bomb!

I saw the Van Halen orchestra in concert in Lethbridge, AB back in the early 80's. Great show! I saw the David Lee Roth Orchestra in concert in Winnipeg, MB in the late 80's. Another great show! Steve Vai is an excellent guitarist!
