I was on line at the local sandwich shop a few days ago, and the guy in line in front of me ordered a 12-inch Philly cheesesteak. Warm sliced steak, peppers, onions, cheese. All on the left side of the roll. On the right side, he asked for a second meat. Tuna Salad.

I was thinking, maybe this guy is trying to order two 6-inch sandwiches and save money ... if you separate the roll and fold it over in the middle, it would work out. The girl behind the counter must have thought the same thing, because she toasted the sandwich and gave it back to him open-faced. He gave it back and asked her to close it and cut it, which she did with an absolutely priceless, horrified look on her face. The rest of us on line were just too stunned to say anything at all, but oh, the glances we exchanged.

I'm thinking the police might want to review the security footage, because they might just want to question this guy. Just thinking ...

That is a rather odd combination! I went to Primanti's Sandwiches recently and got this beauty: corned beef, coleslaw, french fries, and fried egg...all between two big slices of bread! Dagwood Bumstead would be proud. I had to take a picture!

I think the scariest thing I saw was the nutrition facts in my favorite (sob!) sandwich at the Cheesecake Factory.
It's the grilled shrimp & bacon club.
1640 calories and 2640 mg of sodium; 20 g of fat.
I haven't had one now in over a dozen years. Very sad.
:( My tastebuds are sad for you! But you probably made the best choice for your health. Still, that sounds delicious.

OMG, wow that is a lot ... and it is one of those things that once you see the nutritional info, you just can't un-see it.
