Hi everybody,

I am new to the group, and so, still learning the ropes.

How happy to know that the book was penned down by a Waterman, "the world's finest word processor to him".

Anybody knows the detailed of the pen model?

Even in one model, there are any colours and style (laque, gold trim,
silver trim, chrome, deluxe).

I am curious about the ink too, black ink? Blue ink? Brand? Waterman,
Parker, Montblanc?

I like pen and ink and therefore very curious about them.

Many thanks.

Best regards.

Way too long ago to remember those details and it's not a pen he uses on a regular basis these days.

I have a Waterman, but these days I use a Lamy - plastic, so I'm not heartbroken if I lose one (well I am actually but that's just me), about the best and nicest to write with fountain pen I have ever owned (and I have always written with fountain pens) plus they are about £12 on a well known internet shopping site, so I have been able to accumulate a number of them which I have different coloured ink in without any feelings of guilt or "spendthriftery."

I had a fountain pen that I used in elementary school. It was one of those that had a little lever you used to suck ink into the cartridge. But the lever could also be used to squirt ink out of the pen at adversaries. More than once the dreaded fountain pen caused me to get my hands smacked with a wooden pointer by the nuns. Fountain pens do not hold found memories for me. :)

Nuns don't hold fond memories for me having been schoole by them. For me one of the most poignant scenes in cinema is that in the Blues Brothers where "the penguin" beats Dan Acroyd and John Belushi around the head with a steel ruler until they fall down the stairs. Brings back very vivd memories of my school days and being roughed up by nuns!:blues:
