Omigosh - it's been TWO years! Where *does* the time go???
-A little update for everyone: we're in Greenville where B is awakening his (up 'til now) dormant law license. Yup, he made the decision to return to lawyering, so now he's coughing up the (expensive) change to reinstate and has completed all the back continuing education courses necessary to please the South Carolina Bar. I've worked here and there for places like Michelin and a few non-profits, but most of my time is spent now on selling his mom's art and taking some coursework that will bring about Human Resources viability. Those letters after an HR employee's name are kindasorta bogus - there's no real substance to them, to be honest - but HR decisionators love seeing them.
Tip the Wonder Cat is quite well. He needs a new friend but we're in an apartment and don't feel we've got room for a second feline, so when we move to a Forever Home, that's first on the agenda, along with a puppy. Tip can then tell everyone he's King and is Alpha Animule!
Oh, and we didn't go to Tennessee last year for Christmas, so my folks mailed us our wedding cake tier last year right before our first anniversary - and it was *wonderful*! Perfectly preserved and still SO good - I'll have to learn the secrets of a really fine cake crumb and replicate it in years to come.
...and Halloween is upon us, so we're reading The Legend of Sleepy Hollow out loud to each other at night. We light candles and lounge on the bed with Tip and creep ourselves out. Upstate South Carolina is terrific in autumn! -And we owe Sundrop a cheesecake and winefest!
