1. Would you you rather live in the country or in the city?
The country

2. If you could try out any job for a day, what would you like to try?
I'd like to be a narrator for audio books

3. Define Rap in two words.
Poetic Bass

4. What’s your favorite part about today so far?
Woke up to a lovely rainfall

5. What's for dinner?
Pork tenderloin, mashed potatoes, cucumber & tomato salad

6. What is your worst travelling experience?
The Ogre and I argued and fought all the way through Georgia & Florida once. We were heading to Tampa and he decided to take the back roads instead of the interstate. 2 tickets, rare bathroom and food stops - it's a 16 hour trip from here on the interstate. I was so mad I wouldn't navigate. He was so mad he wouldn't ask for directions. It took about 24 hours. Once we got settled in and made it to St. Pete we were OK. He should just listen to me, always.

7. What is the strangest thing you've ever seen an animal do?
Grossness warning!
We had poop eating dog once. She ate her own poop and then vomitted it back up. She was defective.

8. What is the strangest thing you've ever seen a child do?
I'll have to come back to this. I am racking my brain and can't think of one right now.

9. What is the best sandwich?
Summer: BLT; The rest of the year: French Dip

10. How often do you cut your hair?
I'm very random about this. I'm fine and then one day I wake up and hate my hair and have to get it cut that day. I'm going to guess 6 months. It's been about that long now. Just this past Friday a cashier told me she liked my gray widow's peak. I furrowed my brow at her.

Excellent questions Nottie!

1. Would you you rather live in the country or in the city? The country. I've lived in both. I wish my son could get that experience of growing up in a small town.

2. If you could try out any job for a day, what would you like to try? US Navy SEAL

3. Define Rap in two words. Mute Button

4. What’s your favorite part about today so far? Getting some reading time in.

5. What's for dinner? Grilled hot dogs and burgers. My son seems to want this for every meal...

6. What is your worst travelling experience? 1994, Tulsa, OK at the Nine Inch Nails concert. My girlfriend and I hotboxing a joint in the cab of my Ford Ranger with the windows rolled up right before walking into the concert. We open the doors to get out, a large cloud of pot smoke rolls backward and directly into the open passenger side window of a Tulsa Police Department cruiser......

7. What is the strangest thing you've ever seen an animal do? Watched a deer come to within about five feet of me one time while I was fishing on the river. It got itself a drink of water, looked at me, then just casually walked back into the woods. I'd never had a deer come that close to be before or since.

8. What is the strangest thing you've ever seen a child do? That would be my son when he was about 4 years old. Right in the middle of summer, we were leaving to go somewhere. I ran back inside to grab something, came back out he was down on his knees about six inches away from a large King snake that lives on our property somewhere. I think the snake was laying on our concrete carport cooling itself. There was no fear at all in him and the snake seemed not to react to him at all. He was very curious about what the snake was doing and he wanted to "give it something to eat". I've always thought what if that would have been some other type of snake??

9. What is the best sandwich? I'll go with a good chicken salad sandwich

10. How often do you cut your hair? Once every two weeks I just have it buzzed.

1. Would you you rather live in the country or in the city? country but this small town is okay. I can get out in the bush anytime I want, almost.

2. If you could try out any job for a day, what would you like to try? I think I'd like to be a Kindergarten teacher...just for the one day. I bet I'd learn more than the kids, easy.

3. Define Rap in two words. Pissed off.

4. What’s your favorite part about today so far? Right now...have a sense of accomplishment, bunch of pickles put up, a crock-pot full of salsa cooking down, the garden did great this year, the grass is cut...have two or three estimates that can wait until tomorrow morning. Sun is shining, not too hot, life is good.

5. What's for dinner? New York Strip...garden beans, cukes, tomatoes, salad dressing, a beer or two.

6. What is your worst travelling experience? Broke a tie rod heading south...in Toledo, rush hour traffic, not a friend in sight. Hoped a fence and found a wharehouse office that wasn't closed, used their phone--back before cell phone days...maybe 4-5 inches of slush on the interstate. That helped me get over out of traffic. Didn't have enough moolah for an adequate repair. Things worked out.

7. What is the strangest thing you've ever seen an animal do? Talking to the high school janitor this once, summer, had a job working at the school. We're outside on the lawn, look over at the elementary school roof--more or less a single-story ranch-type building. Gray squirrel up there hopping down the rake, down the slope...no tail. We pause, watch. Squirrel hops to the edge and pees...little dribble of pee falls over the eave. Holzberger turns to me and says I didn't know rabbits and squirrels screwed! Cat probably got his tail.

8. What is the strangest thing you've ever seen a child do? Present her old man with some "cookies"...via her diaper. Her old man, half-absorbed in the television, reached over--she had the lumps on a plate--she knew that much to do. Ralph had a cookie though it disagreed with his system. Never liked Ralph.

9. What is the best sandwich? One with tomato and mayo, salted tomato, lunch-meat, maybe some lettuce, on a hot hot day, humid, you just finished the morning hours, feels good to set down, open your lunch, pull back the baggy and take a bite. Nothing better.

10. How often do you cut your hair?
maybe once a month, longer if I get busy, usually longer...someone else cuts it, though

5. What's for dinner?

6. What is your worst travelling experience?
Bits of a trip to visit my husband's family in MI and Chicago. My FIL chose the hotels/motels, for the most part. One place in NE had seven single beds in one room. I put my foot down at the motel somewhere in MI that had blood (or something) all down the side of the mattress. Enough was enough.

Wow - I have heard of a rating of how many stars a hotel gets - the ones he chose should have had a rating of negative stars - you must be very tolerant.

1. What is the best dish that you prepare? Chicken and dumplings with cornbread.

2. When was the last time that you were really scared? During a snow storm my car was sliding all over the icy roads. My car was hanging over a ravine and a few guys helped me push it back on the road.

3. What is the worst time of the day? I hate getting up between four and six in the morning.

4. What's the last thing you ate? Blueberry waffles.

5. Do you text? Sometimes. Isn't texting basically Instant Messaging now?

6. When was the last time you embarrassed yourself in public? At the library they were having a firetruck demonstration for the kids in the parking lot. 7. Do you sometimes laugh at the wrong times? Yes, but can't think of anything right now. I know I have suppressed laughter at funerals before and during church. Reflex, I guess, when things get too serious. It's usually at a time I'm extremely tired or worn out.
