4. Have you memorized any part of the Koran? Just in case?

in case you are ever in a position to save your life based on knowing a quote from the Koran. I've looked for one or two I like or not. Had one a moment ago...see if I can find it. This isn't the one I should have posted but is okay: "do what is beautiful. Allah loves those who do what is beautiful." I've read the Koran but don't recall any one verse. In some of the terrorist incidents from the recent past, potential victims were asked to recite a verse from the Koran. Those who could, lived. Those who count not, died. Be safe. :)

1. If you were given the opportunity to lob a grenade, would you? No

2. Say you’re sitting alone in the living room and a famous musician walked in without knocking and told you, sit tight, punkin! I’m gone play you one I just wrote! Who is the musician? Robert Smith

3. If spurs came back into style would you wear them to work? Would you make a purchase of boots or do you think any footwear works? Yes, I would wear spurs on cowboy boots. I like wearing sneakers, but near wear I live there's this workperson's shop and they have a big picture of Puma work shoes( they look like hiking boots) and I'd like to get them. I also still have a pair of a type of cowboy boot that I bought in York in England back in 1986. Also, since I've been reading The Body, I want to get a pair of engineer boots with the side buckle.

4. Have you memorized any part of the Koran? Just in case? No. But I've read an English translation of the Koran.

5. At what age do you believe your character was set? They say a person's personality is set in the first six years of their life. I think that's true, but because everyone makes mistakes, a person's character is always changing (hopefully for the better) until they die.

6. When was the last time you went in for a lay-up? When I worked in an office where I had to put these stupid files into drawers and I was bending over six hours a day and I was walking home and I felt a twinge in my lower back and I straightened up and there was a massive shooting pain down my back and I fell down in agony and couldn't get up and someone called an ambulance. Pinched nerve.

7. Is there a set amount of time a person should feel bad about doing or saying something regrettable? I used to worry about what I said but now I think that unless I've done something really bad it wasn't that bad so I just by them a beer.

8. Do you look forward to the arrival of the mailman? Or mail-person? Or if you don’t have delivery, do you anticipate with glee or some other happy emotion the opening of your mail receptacle? Yes, I ordered the biography of Robert E Howard by Mark Finn, and was anticipating it with unusual excitement.

9. Have you ever removed your clothing in public, or, would you do so or not do so, under any circumstances? No. I've only been nude at a nudist camp, which I go to about twice a year.

10. Have you ever petted an animal other than a dog or cat? A Kangaroo.

I'm seriously so curious--what do you use it for? Just regular eating (but of fish), or do you use one for certain kinds of fish and not others? I used a long, fondue-like fork to eat escargot, I remember, but fish forks in a picture of a place setting don't look like that.
Oh, are you not talking about those little fondue like forks for digging out meat from crab legs?

1) Which shoe do you put on first, right or left?
had to go give it a try...the left, this time, but I'm not affiliated with any religious movement with strict footwear etiquette...in boot camp we learned to lace out boots right over left, but the service didn't care what boot you put on first.
2) Do you eat bananas?
yes...and i recently learned it is easier to peel from the bottom up, or turn it upside down and do it that way. you can teach an old dog new tricks.
3) Is there a song that makes you sad, every time?
Concrete Angel...Tears in Heaven...The Leader of the Band...Cats Cradle...We Are the Champions
4) What virtue do you need to work on?
virtually all of them some need to toned up some need to be toned down
5) Have you ever used a fish fork?
ummm, no. i've used a fork on a fish...saw a cool u-tube video, guy scaling a fish with a metal drill bit, looked like it worked okay but i just fillet them, leave the skin on, peel the meat out once the fish has been grilled.
6) Apples or oranges?
oranges and lemons say the bells of saint clemons...apples in the fall...oranges in the winter
7) Do you have an unexpected talent?
i was mistakenly placed in an english honors seminar this once...probably have other things people mistake for talent until they get to know me, but no...don't believe i have any...isn't there a thread? i can knit a scarf about four feet long, maybe 3-4" wide...but i don't know how to end it. and it don't matter anyway as the yarn also gets super-tight on the needles to where you can't knit anymore. that takes talent, ma said.
8) Stocking cap or beanie?
ooo...deja vu! we call them "chooks"...variation on the french toque...i think it is. mispronunciation of the french, happens when you melt the pot.
9) What always makes you laugh?
the absurd...other things...many things.
10) Is there a book that you didn't expect to like that you ended up admiring?
the books i pick up to read i expect to like, that's why i picked them up...but okay, maybe...like some of the classics by some of those long-dead holy guys of literature. don quixote. great story. 400+ years old and one of the best stories i've ever read. some tolstoy...or maybe assigned reading...leon uris' exodus.

1) Which shoe do you put on first, right or left? Left

2) Do you eat bananas? The smell of a banana is putrid. One of the detectives I used to work with made it a point to toss a banana peel into my desk trash can at least once a week...usually on a Friday after I left so it would have time to "cook" over the weekend. Hard smell to get rid of.

3) Is there a song that makes you sad, every time? Fade Into You by Mazzy Star. Lots of baggage every time I hear that one.

4) What virtue do you need to work on? Financial thriftiness.

5) Have you ever used a fish fork? I once used a fish fork to kill a man in Reno....just to watch him die;)

6) Apples or oranges? Apples.

7) Do you have an unexpected talent? I'm pretty much talent-less.

8) Stocking cap or beanie? Beanie cap. I've got an Alice In Chains winter hat beanie I've worn for so long the only thing holding it together has to be cigarette tar and self-loathing.

9) What always makes you laugh? Thinking of my old co-workers always makes my day a bit more bearable.

10) Is there a book that you didn't expect to like that you ended up admiring? The Last of the Mohicans. I read it as a book report assignment back in 10th grade. Thought it would be boring since it was a classic. I've read it probably 10-15 times over the years. One of my favorite books of all time, my high school English teacher was very sharp.

Thanks, I'm adding Last of the Mohicans to my 2017 reading list. I've got a dozen Louis L'amour paperbacks I want to read, too. Trying to branch out.

Ah man, ghost. I hated Last of the Mohicans. I can't imagine reading it twice much less 10 or 15 times!
