1. What was the last Stephen King story you read & when did you read it? Nightmares and Dreamscapes, just finished it a couple of nights ago.

2. Name one goal you’d like to achieve before the Green Ripper comes calling. I'd like to see my son graduate college.

3. Have you ever caught a fish? And if so, how old were you when you caught your first? I've been fishing since I was about 4 years old if I remember correctly, I think I remember catching a catfish with some help from my grandfather.

4. Who would you like our next president to be? You can be specific or in general, a governor, a senator, an unknown…but not your self. No one. There should be no such thing as a professional politician, they all suck. I have no idea why Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, or any other politician has thousands of supporters yelling and screaming at their political rallies. I have no confidence in any politician at all.

5. What are some of the things you did as a child, young person, teenager, over the summer months? Lots of bike riding, pick up games of baseball and basketball, fishing, and swimming.

6. Have you ever written anything fictional, story, poetry, memoir with the idea that one day others might read it? No, I have no illusions about my literary capabilities, or lack thereof.

7. In the area where you were born & raised, what is one thing (or more) that you experienced that was unique to that area? (could be a style/name of clothing, a food or beverage known in that local area as whatever, whereas these same or slightly different items are known by other names in other areas, or maybe it was a game you played, familiar only to those in that particular area). I grew up in a very rural, very small town in southern Arkansas. We all knew each other, when you walked into the only cafe in town on main street, everyone knew your name and who your parents were. You could ride your bike across town in fifteen minutes end to end for the most part. So, I guess what I'm trying to type is that just the whole feel of our town was unique. Having lived around a city for several years now, it's made me appreciate growing up in a small town.

8. Have you ever explored a religion with which you were previously unfamiliar? No. The only experiences I've had with religion are bad ones and I have no use for any religion as far as personally. I don't need faith to complete my life.

9. What was your driver’s education like? Easy. I already had my driver's license by the time I took Driver's Ed in 11th grade, as did my driving partner. Our basketball coach was our Driver's Ed instructor so he would just sit in the back and fill out his racehorse pics while we took turns driving. We usually went to restaurant in town and got breakfast, which our instructor always insisted on buying since he didn't have to really teach us anything. It was pretty cool.

10. Have you ever grown some of your own food? I did when I was a kid. I grew some tomatoes, but that's about the extent of my green thumbness.:)

  1. Who is the most intelligent person you know? The Sergeant in charge when I used to work in CID. He wasn't just the most intelligence police officer I've ever met, he is the most intelligence person as well.

  2. What is one thing you will never do again? Buy a Ford vehicle.

  3. Who was your first crush? Girl named "Melissa" in sixth grade. Used to run very fast past her, open doors for her, just about every corny thing you can imagine and I'm not sure if she ever really even knew my name...lol
  4. If you had a warning label, what would yours say? "Vacant forward stare is normal, move along, nothing to see here."

  5. Which of the five senses would you say is your strongest? Smell, without a doubt.

  6. What three items would you take with you on a deserted island? My AR-15 with plenty of ammo, a knife......and Kate Beckinsale:)

  7. Have you ever had a secret admirer? Not that I am aware of.

  8. How many pillows do you sleep with? Three.

  9. If you could go back in time, what year would you travel to? November 22nd, 1963.
10. On a scale of 1-10, how funny do you think you are? That's a tough one. 7 maybe?

Good questions.

My Ford Focus Titanium. I'm going to marry it.
I was a die hard Ford fan for lots of years. In 2000 I bought my wife a brand new Ford Focus SE. I'm kind of OCD when it comes to vehicle maintenance, so every oil change, tune up, and everything else was documented. I literally save every receipt of any work I have done on my vehicles. At 80k miles, her Focus threw a rod, I mean out of the blue, it just threw a rod, no warning, no warning lights on, nothing. She's just driving home from work one day and BANG! Anyway, it ruined the engine so I was plenty pissed. Myself, I bought a new Ford Taurus in 2004. Had the three year 36k mile warranty which I didn't have to use one time in the three years. At year about four and a half, started having to replace stuff you really shouldn't have to replace, like, oh, I don't know....transmission, starters, alternator, and a host of other things all before it ever got to 50k miles. I rode it out until 100k miles, but both vehicles just really let me down. Especially because I knew they had been maintained meticulously over the years. So, when I traded off my Taurus a few months ago I swore off Fords...lol

I understand. That could definitely sour a person on a company. I'm still in the honeymoon period.

  1. Who is the most intelligent person you know? You mean besides me? ; ) Seriously, this guy Steve K., from Los Angeles. He's a songwriter and he helped me learn how to laugh even when there ain't nuthin' particularly funny about what's going on. But if it can be a dead person, I'll agree with Audra. That would by my father's father.

  2. What is one thing you will never do again? I will never -- ever -- turn my back on an honest cry for help. Never again.

  3. Who was your first crush? Well, I had it pretty bad for Barbara Billingsley at one point, but that's probably not what you're talking about. This girl Mary Ann. She was in my Western Civ., class in high school and I mooned over her like, well . . . like a kid with a crush on a girl he doesn't really know. So later on at the senior dinner, I asked her to sign my yearbook, and she did. I was over the moon, seriously. Until I read what she wrote: "Hey Puck! Thanks for all the help in computer class." I have it on good authority that this kind of thing happens quite a bit in high school.

  4. If you had a warning label, what would yours say? Caution: Contents Under Pressure!

  5. Which of the five senses would you say is your strongest? Since I quit smoking my sense of smell has come back with a vengeance. Sadly, this is not always a good thing.

  6. What three items would you take with you on a deserted island? Well, I'll assume these are not "survival" items, so I'll take my old Gretsch classical and a lot of pens and paper.

  7. Have you ever had a secret admirer? No, but I am certainly open to the idea.
8. How many pillows do you sleep with? Four.

9. If you could go back in time, what year would you travel to? Will I be able to change anything when I get there, or will
I just have to watch, because that is going to make a huge difference. If I can "fix" stuff, I'm going to 1988. If not . . . I'll
just stay home.

10. On a scale of 1-10, how funny do you think you are? Well . . . I think I'm pretty funny -- 7 or 8 at least -- but there's
evidence to suggest (people not laughing, for instance) that I may over-rate myself just a wee tad.

I remember that feeling, wanted some hot guy to sign your yearbook and reveal some long hidden love and admiration for you. But alas, no. Same type of things you got there -- have a good summer!

  1. Who is the most intelligent person you know? heard something on the radio this morning...something einstein said about intelligence. alas...i've already forgotten it. but it was good!
  1. I can think of a couple of good ones by him: "Imagination is more important than knowledge." and "If you want you child to be intelligent, read him fairy tales. If you want him to be more intelligent, read him more fairy tales." :)

Had one American car (someone talked me into it against my better judgment)--fell apart. Hated it.
I learned to always buy foreign cars. I've had 4 Mazdas and have been happy with all of them.
No major problems with any, except that American mechanics are afraid to touch them, even for small maintenance issues...
I'm very particular about performance and speed--foreign cars seem to outdo American in most cases.

Here's the thing, Kurben: I know many people with a lot of knowledge in their heads on certain subjects, but no one with as broad a range of interests, coupled with the ability to take complex information and make it understandable to someone without background in the field. You can do that. Smarts, with the ability to synthesize what you know is intelligence, in my book. That makes you the most intelligent person I know :)
