I was! Eleanor "Ellie" Anne was born 11/24 at 10:44 PM, weighing 7 lbs and 19-1/2" long. It was really tough leaving yesterday but made sure I didn't cry or I know my daughter would have started, too.

"Old" names have been making a comeback here the past few years. It isn't the reason they picked it, but it was my grandmother's name, my mother's middle name, and we found out it is her great-great aunt's middle name, too. They wanted to spell it Elle instead of Ellie but were afraid no one would spell it correctly or pronounce it as Ellie. They'd thought about using my and my daughter's middle name of Eileen but I pointed out her initials would spell EEL and that was not something to stick a kid with.Yaaaay, congratulations to you all. I absolutely love old traditional names, and nice when they have a personal family connection too. My little boy's going to be Alexander Thomas, always liked the name Alex, and Thomas is after my uncle who died when I was four-years old but still remember him clearly now, so thought it would be a nice tribute.
