Yaaaay, congratulations to you all. Was wondering about your new grandchild, such a lovely name, beautiful.
"Old" names have been making a comeback here the past few years. It isn't the reason they picked it, but it was my grandmother's name, my mother's middle name, and we found out it is her great-great aunt's middle name, too. They wanted to spell it Elle instead of Ellie but were afraid no one would spell it correctly or pronounce it as Ellie. They'd thought about using my and my daughter's middle name of Eileen but I pointed out her initials would spell EEL and that was not something to stick a kid with.

Do you have a name picked out now that you know you're expecting a boy?

Not that I'm prejudiced but she's much cuter in person. Here's one with her awake having play time.

Ohmygosh, Ellie is sooooooo cute! :) Were you talking to her when you snapped the photo? She has that adorably attentive expression... like she's wondering what the heck you're talking about :)

Did SK manage ok without you? I'll bet he's glad you're back lol.

I think she was trying to figure out who that other kid was--that's a mirror she's looking into. :D

I absolutely love old traditional names, and nice when they have a personal family connection too. My little boy's going to be Alexander Thomas, always liked the name Alex, and Thomas is after my uncle who died when I was four-years old but still remember him clearly now, so thought it would be a nice tribute.
