Someone coming in and cooking for you!

We used to have a similar service, but being rural it didn't work well for deliveries.
There is a volunteer group that helps seniors. They gather up the list and shop for them. Deliver the goods and even put the heavier items away. Often seniors will buy smaller sizes because they can't lift a heavier item. These volunteers will transfer from large container to smaller one.

Oh my gosh yes - someone coming in to do the cooking. Personal chef. Uh=huh. That's what I'm spending the retirement savings on. How did I not thing of that?

My daughter, single mom with kids, gets her groceries delivered all the time. There's a surcharge, but it's well worth it to her. She hates going to the grocery store.

I'm different. I'm at almost all the grocery shopping, either alone or with Grandma. I don't like dealing with people who push shopping carts and have a complete lack of self-awareness, but I do like the visual and tactile part of picking and choosing the stuff that I want in my kitchen.

I HATE grocery shopping. I will pop into the supermarkets for little bits and pieces, but for a big shop I always get home delivery. I hate walking through the aisles, putting everything in the trolley/cart, then putting it all on the conveyer belt, then packing it all into bags and transferring it to the car, taking it out of the car, unpacking it all and then putting everything away. Yawn. Home delivery all the way for me!

There are days when I would love to do this, I just haven't ventured in that direction yet!
(Some days I would rather just stay in my jammies ALL DAY LONG!) but it is good to get washed, dressed and out in the fresh air just so one does not become a hermit! :sneaky:
