Read this if you will. I spent most of my years in Fort Mac before I moved to Edmonton. When the fire hit, I was terrified because all of my family members were up there. One lost his house and he stayed here with me....he since bought a house in Edmonton and will be moving in there in a few days time.....along with his two cats who have been living here with my three. Nobody died in the fire because in that city everyone knows how to handle a crisis like this....from working in the oilpatch. This was a very scary time for me till they reached Edmonton in one piece.

Thanks for posting that. Fires are scary enough, but when you add animals to the equation it's a nightmare. I'm glad everyone made it safe.
