Every Memorial Day picnic I’m expected to come up with a new drink for people to try. Hey, at least the research work is fun.
This year:

2 oz. Stoli Blueberry Vodka
¼ oz Pomegranate Juice
Fill remainder of glass with Lemonade
Add a squirt of Dasani Drops Water Flavor Enhancer Pink Lemonade
Shake and pour into glass with ice
Throw in a few blueberries

Very refreshing.
Nice!

Ah, married life!

LOL! Sometimes :) Mark has an active job and mine is sedentary, so when I sit and write it drives him nuts after a while. Then he drives ME nuts with the huffing and sighing and "What are you doing NOW?"--HAHA! Someday a kid will move out and I will have a dedicated space to write that has a door that I can gently (or not so gently) close during working hours :D As is, I will get antsy to get back to work since I'm at home. May have to plan some outings to keep him busy and get me out of the house so we can both enjoy the time off.

This will be the first holiday in 17 years that I won't be on call in one capacity or another. I'm planning on taking my family to see Mad Max Fury Road, grilling some burgers afterwards, and maybe doing a little fishing on one of those days. I gave up trying to fish about 5 years ago because inevitably as soon as I got to the river, my work cell would ring and I'd spend the next hour sitting on a log or a rock on the river trying to talk someone thru a computer issue or having to pack it all in and go to work. It's been a pain in the rear trying to learn a new job, but the fact everyone goes home at 5pm and the office isn't open until 8am the next morning is kind of nice. I've only been here four weeks now but already the stress level as far as work goes has dropped markedly.

Yeay! Hope the fish are biting like crazy!:cool2:

We are going to the beach - plan to hit some local watering holes, then one night host a seafood boil on our street. Look for some sea glass and catch a ray here and there. I am off Monday, so it's a 4 day weekend. Hooray!!:watermelon:

And yes, sir Scott! We will also remember. That's so important!:unclesam:

I do miss being a kid for holidays like this; the whole family would pack up and head to the lake for the day. There would be fishing, swimming, innertube-ing (?) and lots of good food. We wouldn't leave until after dark, someone always had a sunburn, but everyone left happy.

Now that I'm grown, money gets in the way...or the lack of it. So I've learned to enjoy staying home. ;;D

I've been out of town on a tiring gig. I get back tomorrow (Friday), and I don't think I'm going to the office, so I sorta get a four-day weekend.

Nevertheless, I'll get some work done. Yardwork. Hopefully see kids/grandkids. I dunno. We'll do some kicking back.
