...today?.....today, and for many days forward-I will be subjected to the every 17 year serenade.....we have a few every year, but THIS year is the mondo-booty call year!!!!....
....and it is eerie!....many of them are still hatching, and the ones that have are into full "cry" yet....they are all united in a high pitched humming, that almost vibrates in your bones and you can hear it everywhere....puts me in mind of a less shrill version of the "call" made by the giant ants in THEM.....
