Thanks FlakeNoir. About as well as can be expected. She is up to 96 pounds from 88 and the doctor says they may be able to do the surgery sooner than the end of the month based on the weight she's gaining. Once the surgery comes and goes then we'll see...
I hope your wife's health continues to improve, Mal. Thinking of you with very best wishes for her full recovery.

Rice pudding would be better for dessert. :smile2:

I can't afford that. I buy my rice at the 99 cent store and get the condiments free from fast-foods. So, to me, they are the best tasting things in the world. ;;D Just like how during Navy Seals boot camp (in GI Jane), the cadets think that ketchup with noodles in a trash can is the best tasting thing in the world. :)

I grew up with ketchup and noodles too. We have to make the most of what we have, right?

Ketchup with rice and then mustard with rice for dessert. :)
Are you kidding?

okay - I will edit - sorry - I had not read the other comments and answers - :a11::byebye:

If you could afford eggs and milk and maybe some raisins, I have a recipe for a really good rice pudding that you bake in the oven - I used to make it for my son when he was younger - you sprinkle cinnamon and sugar over the top - it's very good!
