I have The Bone Clocks in my TBR pile. Supposedly it is really good but just haven't had the gumption to pick it up. I have a few books I have started that I need to finish, and just can't seem to get motivated about them. If you read it, let me know what you think because I really liked Slade House. I also own Cloud Atlas and have purposely avoided the movie because I want to read the book first.
Cloud Atlas is a love it or hate it book. I loved it! I haven't watched the movie either.

Speaking of Alpha Flight, I'm also an old timer fan of the original Alpha Flight comic book along with Power Pack and Alf.

I've been buying old back issues of power pack and alpha flight every once in awhile from the comic book shop. Comic shop has a back issue sale going on for 20 for 30 bucks.

But most of the time I take advantage of the comic book sale to catch up on other old stuff from Nightstalkers, 1986 Superman, mid 1990s Batman, uncanny x Men, Jim lee x Men, Wolverine, old Generation X and X Man and original Amazing spider man and the other sided man titles to complete certain story arcs.

But as of right now I'm catching up on Alpha Flight and Power Pack.

I'm ashamed to admit that I'm still slogging through Sleeping Beauties. I haven't really connected with any of the characters so even though I really do enjoy the story, I keep having to remind myself who's who and all that and it gets exhausting so I get distracted and keep putting it down. I'm usually a binge reader so this is not normal for me.

I’m on p. 425, and I’ll see a character’s name and think, Who the hell is that? There are way too many characters, and I don’t give a heck about any of them. This reminds me a lot of The Fireman in that regard. Im disappointed, but glad to see I’m not the only one. (There may be more of us, but I’m avoiding spoilers by staying out of the Sleeping Beauties threads for now.)

But as of right now I'm catching up on Alpha Flight and Power Pack.

My dealer has full runs of both in the fifty cent boxes. Full runs of lotsa stuff. I’ve managed to replace my long lost Groo collection for around 30 bones. That book was a riot.

But if you think I’m sharing this mother lode you’ve got anudder think comin. I’ll get all Fred C. Dobbs crazy like.

Muskrat, no offense or anything but do you really need to hoard them all? Help a brother out if you have an extra copy of Power Pack issue 1. I need it more than a hoarder does anyway

Aw, no, I’se just being all Ben Grimm on ya. Next time I’m down there I’ll keep an eye out for Power Pack numero uno. I can sympathize.

But that full run of Shogun Warriors by Herb Trimp in the seventies? Thems mine, hombre.

I don’t have to show you no STEENKING BATCHES...

I'm about half way through Sleeping Beauties and loving it! Unlike others of you, I have no problem keeping track of the characters. And although none of them are likable in the true sense of the word, I love some of them! I think part of the problem is that people are taking the stereotypes too literally. Look at this book as an allegory and it all makes sense. Its characters have to be stereotypes for it to work.

Edited to add: I personally think this book is waaaay better than Doctor Sleep and Revival.

I think you're on to something here. Location matters. If Evie had appeared in NYC, the necessary events would have never taken place.

P.S. I'm with you on Revival, not so much on Doctor Sleep! Isn't it great how we can all have favorites and still all get along on the board?=D
