I've been reading a little John Christopher. The Death of Grass (US title No Blade of Grass) and the Possessors. I think he is quite good. I'm thinking of getting The Tripods tetralogy (The White mountains, The City of Gold and Lead, The Pool of Fire and the prequel When the Tripods Came) and The Lotus Caves and The Guardians. Books that are written from the middle of the 50-ties to the end of the 60-ties.

I'm reading The Paying Guests by Sarah Waters. I've read The Little Stranger and Nightwatch by her and enjoyed them immensely. The Little Stranger was a straight up haunted house story and Nightwatch was a wonderful mix of peoples experiences during and just after WWII.
This one I find is a bit self concious. She has never been shy about her sexuality and thats fine. But this one seems to be mostly about being a lesbian in England in the 1920s. Again, couldn't have been easy. But I feel the whole thing is still a bit self concious and therefore not her best.

I'm stoked, went and spent some Christmas gift money at Magers and Quinn my fav locally owned indie bookstore. I got Ray Bradbury Death is a Lonely Business. I also got Now and Forever, also by Bradbury. I got Truman Capote, Music for Chameleons, JD Salingers Raise High The Roof Beam, Carpenters, and Seymour an Introduction. I also replaced my missing copies of The Bachman Books, and Nightmares and Dreamscapes. As well, I picked up a SK rarity ( to me at least...) called Conversations with Stephen King Feast Of Fear.

I am reading all these. I love me some short stories. The book store had some really great prices. I dont know which one to start with first but I wanna immediately re-read The Long Walk. This copy has The Rage in it, which I will not be re-reading, no offense to Mr King, it would depress me too much.

Im super stoked the copy of N&D I got is old and has a super cool sparkly foil cover.
