I'm about 40 pages into McCammon's Mystery Walk and LOVE it! It takes place in Fayette County which is really close to me-- thought that was neat. :)
I'm a little over halfway through my very first McCammon novel, Boys Life. Hadn't heard of Mystery Walk - have to add that one to the TBR pile along with Swan Song and They Thirst (and the Matthew Corbett series as well!). :)

Lots of 'for review' books have dropped on me lately, ... I've not read anything by Gardiner before--has anyone here read her?
I am probably too late, but I have read one Gardner book - Love You More. The female lead was strong and the plot had some unexpected twists that were well done. Curious to hear what you think of this one.

morgan, so I think I must be about up to where you left off with Blaze...?
Blaze has just realised that he is both Blaze and George... and is worried that he might do something to hurt baby Joe... I'm so nervous now....
God I loved that story :D
I read it just before Xmas and was gripped from start to finish!

On a sidenote, I have been reading the McCammon comments on these forums for a while and after a little googling, I have just realised how much his books sell for online! Bidding on a paperback of Swan Song at the moment :)

So far, it's okay. I'm about half way through & there have been a few twists already. I'm a little apprehensive that it will become unbelievable if there are many more, but you never know :) I can say that for a major release it has a lot of errors that copy editing should have caught--they get the big bucks for being thorough, but they've really lost the plot on this one.

I'm getting nervous with Blaze... what are the chances that this is all going to turn out all right? I know... not good. :(

Re: McCammon, I've had the same issue, very expensive to order online and the shipping prices for me (to NZ) can be huge.
Does anyone know if Swan Song and Boy's Life are available as e-book downloads?
(I finally have a smartphone--that is now working properly--so could maybe download the stories? I've never done this before though... hopefully I wouldn't screw it up. :biggrin2: )

That's one Ive missed, but have been meaning to read. I enjoyed Telegraph Avenue and Wonder Boys quite a bit. Thanks for the rec!
Telegraph Avenue was very good as well. I've also enjoyed a couple of books by his wife Ayelet Waldman. Love And Treasure and Love and Other Impossible Pursuits. Very different from each other but both quite good.

Have you tried Book Depository? Shipping is free.
