I'm a little over halfway through my very first McCammon novel, Boys Life. Hadn't heard of Mystery Walk - have to add that one to the TBR pile along with Swan Song and They Thirst (and the Matthew Corbett series as well!).I'm about 40 pages into McCammon's Mystery Walk and LOVE it! It takes place in Fayette County which is really close to me-- thought that was neat.

HSB is my favorite Hill book, tooMy favorite Hill book (so far!) - enjoy the ride!!!
I am probably too late, but I have read one Gardner book - Love You More. The female lead was strong and the plot had some unexpected twists that were well done. Curious to hear what you think of this one.
God I loved that story
So far, it's okay. I'm about half way through & there have been a few twists already. I'm a little apprehensive that it will become unbelievable if there are many more, but you never know
I can say that for a major release it has a lot of errors that copy editing should have caught--they get the big bucks for being thorough, but they've really lost the plot on this one.Have you tried Ian McEwan? His books (the stories) are hit and miss for me, but the characters are always believable.
I'm getting nervous with Blaze... what are the chances that this is all going to turn out all right? I know... not good.God I loved that story
I read it just before Xmas and was gripped from start to finish!
On a sidenote, I have been reading the McCammon comments on these forums for a while and after a little googling, I have just realised how much his books sell for online! Bidding on a paperback of Swan Song at the moment

Telegraph Avenue was very good as well. I've also enjoyed a couple of books by his wife Ayelet Waldman. Love And Treasure and Love and Other Impossible Pursuits. Very different from each other but both quite good.

Re: McCammon, I've had the same issue, very expensive to order online and the shipping prices for me (to NZ) can be huge.
Does anyone know if Swan Song and Boy's Life are available as e-book downloads?
(I finally have a smartphone--that is now working properly--so could maybe download the stories? I've never done this before though... hopefully I wouldn't screw it up.
