Is there a book out there you haven't read?! ;;D
No. Just kidding. There's lots of books I haven't read, but I have read most from the masters of horror fiction from the late 20th century. Ira Levin's novels should be on everyone's list of books that either they've read or should read. His prose is quite deceptively simple and yet he packs a punch with his writing. He's best known for Rosemary's Baby and The Stepford Wives but he has a few other lesser-known novels that are just as good. His first book A Kiss Before Dying is a classic!

I'll look into them-- being here sometimes makes me feel woefully under-read. :p Heh. I'll blame it on being 19.

You've got lots of time to read and play 'catch up' to the rest of us old folken then. Don't sweat it! At least you've got some well-read members on here that can guide you past the dreck and point you towards the GREAT writers!

Had to take a break on Stay Close (good, so far!) to hit another review book. Another groaner *sigh* I'm less than 60 pages in and there have been three rather glaring continuity errors. What the heck has happened to editors lately? (my own editorial comment--lol). I have three more reviews lined up: one sounds dumb (another 'quirks with names' vs. actual characters book), one I have moderate hopes for, and one looks pretty good. Probably not much reading today, though.

Right now i'm reading The Virgin Warrior - the Life and Death of Joan of Arc. It is an interesting biography over one of the few women that definitely changed the course of european history. Starts with her being born as a farmers daughter in a village and ends with her being burned by the english.
