Well, you will surely get your copy before I will. I get this from Amazon this morning:

Sheesh.
Received this yesterday along with BH's Father's Day present. It goes to the ever growing TBR pile.

I have become so overwhelmed thinking about the books I have purchased and are making huge piles on my great room table that I have suspended all the books (20) that I had on reserve at the library and after I finish The Nurses and The Scarlet Gospels, I will concentrate on my TBR. In fact on Tuesday I will buy yet another for the pile, but a precious one, Mr. King's latest. I will definitely have to start with that as I love the characters and am anxious to know where Mr. King takes them.

Well I finished The Scarlet Gospels last night.
I enjoyed it, though I felt that it could have been so much better.
Word is that he cut an awful lot of material from the manuscript and (for me, at least) it shows.
Still a good read but I get that feeling of it being a missed opportunity.

I am unsure what to read now. Finders Keepers should be here on Tuesday (as long as Amazon keep their promise) so that leaves me a few days to either squeeze a short book in, or just wait for Tuesday....decisions, decisions!

Hello board, it's been a while.

I am re-reading Misery, four years later, with an improved mind and vocabulary. Enjoying it 1000x times more.

A tremendous effort from King, back in 87'. I just love the way he mixes coherent, accessible storytelling with some interesting, uncommon words. He lost this lyrical quality during the 90's, unfortunately. But they reemerged in the 10s'!

Lost his lyrical quality in the '90s? Might I direct you to Bag of Bones, Hearts in Atlantis, Duma Key, etc.....

Good to have you back! :)

My TBR list is enormous right now. Blaze (a reread), Drood by Simmons, Mine and Stinger by McCammon, The Virgin Warrior about Joan of arc (why can't you call her Jeanne d'Arc in english?) and Wise and Foolish Kings about the house of Valois (history of France between 1328-1498) and soon i have to add Finders Keepers and Song of Kali by Simmons to that löist. When will i find the time?

Have you picked up/started Swan Song yet, Kurben?
I hadn't read any of the blurb before starting this, so had no real clue about its plot... I'm really liking it so far. I'm only about 70-80 pages in. (been busy)
