Think I need to re-read Mr. Mercedes and Finders Keepers before End Of Watch comes out.

Sleepers is the only one of his that I could get through.
It's a great book.
....I wouldn't say that 20th Century Ghosts is "not good", it's just that "ghosts" take many forms in this collection, and I appreciated the stories much more after the re-read.....Me to im trying to finish 20th century ghosts then ill be ready for the fireman, but i have to tell you,i really enjoyed his other books they seem to get better and better but the 20th century ghost book is not good at all. The black phone seems to me to be the best story in the bunch, the others are either incomplete or have nothing to do with ghosts or horror or really anything like bobby conroy comes back from the dead,it didnt have ghosts or horror or really anything to fit in the genre. I just hope this next novel is as good as the others hes done, my favorite being heart shaped box now that i couldnt put down.cant wait for the firman to come out.
I am, though beware: chick lit ahead I don't self promote here, partly out of respect for Mr. King and his site and partly because I LOATHE promotion
I've done reading Revival, only i need to re read the last 2 chapters because i have massive headaches that makes me lost my attention to what i read and i found myself focused on how to get rid of my headache than imagining the story.
After re-reading The last two chapters of Revival, i will now proceed to read the knife and gun club by Eugene richards (a magazine break for meh)
As a longtime sufferer of headaches you have my full attention and sympathy. They take up so much of our precious time, don't they? Is there any natural or medicinal remedy that helps you?I've done reading Revival, only i need to re read the last 2 chapters because i have massive headaches that makes me lost my attention to what i read and i found myself focused on how to get rid of my headache than imagining the story.

I picked these up from the library:
BRUNDAGE Elizabeth, All things cease to appear
KELLY, Martha, The Lilac girls
LUTZ, Lisa, The passenger
SITTENFELD, Curtis Sisterla
My connection is laggy and I clicked on the like button a couple times. The second time may have generated an unlike alert which I assure you was unintentional

There are a couple of really 'gross-out' passages in there, beware!I just started "The Troop" by Nick Cutter. I am hoping it is as creepy as it sounds!
Bridget Jones is a decent analogy. I don't like traditional romance at all, but a good story with people in realistic jobs (even semi-realistic--lol), friends and family (hate when the only 'relationship' is between a couple and every conversation revolves around that one aspect of life), etc. can pique my interest.Ok, gotcha. I don't read "chick lit", obviously, but then again I have never cared for the term because so many book stores and libraries use it arbitrarily. I'd consider Bridget Jones' Diary, for instance, to fall in that category. Having said that, I liked The Pilot's Wife by Anita Shreve and Prodigal Summer by Kingsolver, both of which are written by women and are predominantly narrated by women. Well, congratulations on writing a novel, let alone getting published.
Good premise, meh execution.I just started "The Troop" by Nick Cutter. I am hoping it is as creepy as it sounds!
I find an ice bag to the back of my neck extremely numbing. Glad the Tylonal works, I have been hooked on aspirin as my cure of choice since the early day regardless what the neuro guys prescribed!!Nah, it's nothin dear, besides i'm offline maybe when you did it hehehe
Thank you Dear, and it was true, i almost failed to pass a project because of a headache, it really gets nasty as time goes on.
The medication depends on my cause of headache, if it due to my incoming mothly period, i just let it go and fall asleep (keep tracking on this because i have my own cycle calendar). If its stress or due to heatwave (since i'm living in a tropical country) i take two tablets of paracetamol in a single day and stay at an air conditioned area until i fell asleep. sleeping is the best cure for headache actually
That book made me sick.I just started "The Troop" by Nick Cutter. I am hoping it is as creepy as it sounds!
Ayuh, I had to skim a couple of the passages myself. That book made me sick.
You ever read "Sleepers" by Carcaterra? It was very good. A quick read but worth checking into. Now plodding through "Gangster" by Lorenzo Carcaterra (?). I enjoy the genre (historical East Coast mafia fiction) but there's only so much variety from story to story.
