Thanks. I believe that's just an updated reissue of a book that was originally published in 2010.
On a brighter note, there is a 3 CD set of her live show coming out this month!!!

I'm waiting for the DVD!! Though I will get the CD set.

Check the "What artists are you listening to" thread for a special treat. ;)

I'm hoping there will be a DVD but lets not hold our breath; I don't think she wants to release one. I also hope one day she tours the US, but that will probably never happen. She did come to NYC when Hounds of Love was released and signed autographs at Tower Records. Of course I was there!

I will!!!

Just finished SHIFT by Hugh Howey.
This took me longer to read than I would have liked, curse you real life!!
It's not as good as WOOL (for me), but I did love every page. Very interesting p.o.v. on certain events from the 1st book and also gave some fascinating insight to the history of the WOOL world too. Now, I just need real life to back off a touch while I dive into the last book in the trilogy DUST :)

I've read some books during the time we we're closed. Death in Captivity, Smallbone Deceased and The Body of a Girl by Michael Gilbert, Big Planet, The Blue World and Emphyrio by Jack Vance, Tales from Watership Down by Richard Adams. and Roses From The Earth by Carol Ann Lee. It is a biography over Anne Frank. A good one. I may have missed some but i suddenly got some extra time and what can a man do but read......?

I read a few books since we shut down for a while:
The Short Reign Of Pippin IV by John Steinbeck. Quite funny in parts!
Let's Explore Diabetes With Owls by David Sedaris. Also quite funny!
The Secret History Of Twin Peaks by Mark Frost. A wonderful way to pique (pun intended!) interest in the returning television show.

Here's what I read during the break:

A Man Called Ove, by Fredrick Backman
Misery (reread)
The World According to Garp, by John Irving
Bay's End, but Edward Lorn
The Nix, by Nathan Hill (my favorite read of 2016-- SO good!!!)
Of Mice and Men, by John Steinbeck

I'm currently rereading The Tommyknockers. :)

White Horse by Alex Adams, i stopped at page 100. I had a really hard time connecting with the main character. the writing style didn't do it
for me either. First time in years i started a book and didn't finish...

Now reading Joyland for the first time. Read half the book in a couple of hours, really, really, really good:)

I started The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay last week. I know this book has been out for a number of years and that it is very popular, but for some reason I just never got around to reading it. I've actually never read a book by Michael Chabon. So far, I am enjoying it. The writing is very good and I love the subject matter (WWII era comic book industry). It reminds me of The Funny Papers book trilogy by Tom DeHaven, which is one of my all-time favorites.

....reading Steve's portion now of Hearts In Suspension.....I spent time on everyone else's essays first....may sound ass backwards, but I was more interested in their take first, then compare it to how the Wordslinger summed it all up.....before the break, I think it was Walt-said how "serious" King's take was.....and it certainly isn't frivolous, but his touch is there-entertaining even in reality......

Found the essays enlightening. All the feelings, worries, and actions of those years came flooding back. I'd say the book was a winner.
