Lisbeth Salander is one of the best female characters I've ever read. All three books were uneven, but she saved each of them.
Now that my new S.K. book itch has been nicely scratched, I'm back on Dan Simmons, Summer of Night. Also started a book called Command and Control by Eric Schlosser. Fascinating book so far about close call nuclear accidents in the US during the cold war and afterwards. First story took place in my home state.
Just finished Mr. Mercedes. Will read Screamplays now.
I'm still reading it and I really love this book. Stephen has got me laughing like crazy and I'm living inside the head of a killer as I read this . . .I like how he's touched on the craziness that's going on in the world now.
Settled on 11/22/63 again (at least until whoever is late with my book at the library coughs it up-lol). No hardship to read this one again
I've been getting into Walter Mosley a lot. After SK & Anne Rice, he's my favorite author to read. Anyone who likes SK's straight detective/mystery books like The Colorado Kid, Joytown and Mr. Mercedes should give him a try, especially his Easy Rawlins, Leonid McGill, and Fearless Jones series.
Finished Interworld by Neil Gaiman and Michael Reaves (within a day). SHould I read Dr. Sleep or Mr. Mercedes?
Written In My Own Heart's Blood--the latest in Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series. Will be making reading time for this over the weekend for sure!

I love these characters so much. Really looking forward to the tv show later this summer but am sad that the actors faces will take over what they look like in my mind. I hope the show stays faithful to the books!

Back to a Lincoln Rhyme novel now--The Stone Monkey. Nothing compares to the master...I may have to drag out Skeleton Crew so I can make it until Revival is released.

Stephen seems to be back to his best. Since I started reading King he has released: 11/22/63, Wind through the Keyhole, Dr Sleep, Joyland and Mr Mercedes. I absolutely loved 11/22/63 and joyland, Dr Sleep was awesome, and Mr Mercedes is getting rave reviews here (I've not read it yet, or 'Keyhole). From the synopsis alone, Revival sounds like something I could get totaly immersed in, I'm really looking forward to that one.
Back to his best? I'd say he surpassed his best, and, like fine wine, gets better with time.
Besides" Mr. Mercedes" which I have been trying to read, but work has been interrupting my free time. I downloaded on audio (when I do some mindless work at my desk) "The Devil in the White City" It's about the serial killer during the construction of the World Fair. It's a true story.
I liked Interworld. I'd do Dr. Sleep first...
