Good show, if ungodly depressing --lol. I watched it a couple of years ago.

Thanks for the suggestion. I stopped watching Hell on Wheels so I'm looking for a great series. I'm ready for GOT7.

One episode had a slightly hopeful ending--lol. Can't remember right now if it was the third or fourth. Lennie James is the central character of that one.

MY LIFE is slightly hopeful :icon_eek: I need happy, happy, joy, joy. Or scary. What didyou make for supper after all? I made some soft roll chicken tacos with lettuce, tomato and avocado. Hot sauce. Yum!

Burgers for the peeps and portobello mushroom burger for me (too hot to eat meat), shrimp pasta salad, baked potato salad, and green salad. Nick and I made coffee/chocolate chip ice cream this afternoon, so we'll have some of that later :)

Have you ever used a Donvier ice cream maker? Homemade ice cream in about a half hour! We have a pint maker and a quart maker.

I have exactly one glass of pinot grigio left in a bottle in the fridge, so that sounds wonderful!

Do you like Captain Morgan? I tried a drink I saw in Better Homes & Gardens: one shot of the Captain over ice in a highball glass, fill with tonic water. They said it was like cream soda wirh a kick, and it was!

I would love to visit with you! Have a few drinks and talk. In the morning, cook a big breakfast with home made flour tortillas and my salsa ranchera. We'll have home made gorditas for supper.

When I win the gazillion dollar lottery we'll get together. <3

I LOVE that idea! Last fall, my friend Sandy came from Australia to visit. We had never met in person, but became very close online and over Skype and phone calls. It was weird for about 3 mins, and then it was like she'd always lived with us :) One of the best weeks of my life. We used to joke that we are hetero life mates, and the visit bore that out.

Sounds interesting--I'll give it a go.

Yesterday I started watching The Dr. Blake Mysteries on Netflix. Very character-driven stories about an Australian police physician in the late 1950s. I'm through about 6 episodes and thoroughly enjoying every minute. The debonair Mr. Blake is played by longtime Australian actor, Craig McLachlan, and I am in love with him already.

Dani, are you opposed to subtitles? A friend got me interested in a Turkish WW I drama on Netflix: Suryat (something something). I'm only a few (3) episodes in, but I like it so far!

No, I actually love subtitled movies. I have watched a bunch of Spanish films (as I'm working on learning Spanish) and started El Chapo, which is also Spanish and subtitled. Even on these Dr. Blake Mysteries, I sometimes have to rewind and put the closed-captioning on so I can understand that Australian accent!

I looked on Netflix--is it Kurt Seyit and Sura? If so, looks like I'll enjoy it! Thanks for the rec!
