Merlin. Nick and I just started season 2.So far, I like it well enough. It definitely improved after the first few episodes, but it seems like that happens quite often. Like Atlantis, it's not for purists--it plays around with the legends quite a bit--but I kind of like that.

House Hunters International. These people think they can get a 3 bedroom on the French Riviera for $2K/month.

Maybe in the summer when it's way too hot? Like in Fitzgerald's Tender is the Night?

The last things I watched were Leave It To Beaver, The Brady Bunch, Gilligan's Island, and then Scream Queens later that night .... Leave It To Beaver was actually very well written, with adult themes running under the surface. The Brady Bunch was clever and charming, with Joe Namath guest-starring .... I was visiting my Dad for a belated Father's Day get-together so I missed the rest of Gilligan's Island. The episode was the Return of Wrongway Feldman, sort of like Amelia Earhart, he's left the island, decides he doesn't like civilization and returns to stay ..... Scream Queens continues the saga of ill-fated sorority Kappa Kappa Tau and the 'sister's' struggle against the red devil serial killer/s(?) that seek/s to take 20 year old revenge on 'the house' ..... some parts are funnier than others, but I'll finish watching it, I like it well enough ....

Watched Preacher again
This Guy would be the Perfect Gunslinger for "The Dark Tower" (just my 2 Cents)

*picture of Graham McTavish as his character from Preacher*

You know, I see what you're getting at, but I really don't see that as a good fit for Roland. That guy's eyes don't really say "tired poet." The thing to remember about Roland (and all the Gunslingers, really) is that they were of the ruling class. They were the elite of Gilead. Knights, Princes, Diplomats, Judges and, yes, Gunslingers all rolled together. They were cultured, learned people. This is best illustrated in "The Waste Lands" when they meet the old people of River Crossing.

I like who they got for the movie. Idris Elba can play all aspects of Roland, tired poet, cultured prince and deadly gunslinger determined to prevent all the worlds from "moving on" and falling apart like his did.

I can't really find a show. I need to try on Freaks and Geeks. Preacher looks interesting. My 600 Pound is beginning to repeat itself - and it's kind of always the same-ish story. Stranger Things is coming back, but not until October. So, I've never watched Breaking Bad or Mad Men. I'm thinking of trying those too. I have a hard time watching things beyond 1 season.

Hey - it's 1 minute until quitting time. Catch you a few exits up!

I watched the first, second and last episodes of the first season and all four episodes of the fourth season. I think Graham McTavish does an amazing job as the Saint of Killers. He perfectly embodies the will, ruthlessness and sheer power of an unstoppable force of destruction. And that's part of the reason I can't see him play Roland.

Roland is not some terrible supernatural force. That's what he's up again. He's a highly skilled, well learned but fallible and very tired man who has taken on a task far too immense for him to have any realistic hope of accomplishing it (except that somehow, with help, he does).

Hey, beautiful!

Drive safely and get home soundly.

OMG-Breaking Bad is awesome. Mad Men is, too. My recommendation? Breaking Bad!
