In your mirror.
Have you seen the theatrical film loosely based on his wife's murder? All Good Things, with Ryan Gosling and Kirsten Dunst. Gosling was chilling! Durst admired it so much that he established a relationship with the director, and that led to The Jinx.

No, I haven't seen it but I'll keep an eye out. And thank you for the background,I was wondering why he would agree to this documentary. I just started watching the second episode and he's not schizotypal but I'll bet you dollars to donuts he was on psychotropics while he was being interviewed.

Why on God's green earth would a father get his son out of bed and point out that mommy is on the roof of the house? And he sees mom fall to her death? Have mercy.

BTW I have Stuart:A Life Lived Backwards on my watch list. (It's a wrist-cutter, isn't it? :dispirited:) And I noticed the movie you talked about, the Frankenstein one, I'm going to put that on my list as well.

Have a great night!

DD#1 wanted to start a show we could watch together and picked True Blood. 'Eh', so far. I read the series (all of it, I think, but maybe I bailed on the last 1 or 2. Can't recall) years ago, and remember that after the first 3 or 4 the stories got thinner and thinner and my attention less and less. I do remember liking the first book--I thought it was funny. The show has already changed some things from what I remember, but the greatest weakness is the secondary cast, particularly Sookie's brother and friends. Weak actors, and weak dialogue.

We only watched 2 eps, though, and heaven knows I've grown to love shows that started pretty rough :)

I couldn't get through True Blood. I don't think I even lasted a season.

I suspect I will be the same, but I'll try for her. This Is Us should start again soon, and we really enjoyed that one last year--might distract her :)
Believe me, I get it. I watch a lot of stuff with my son because it's our way of connecting.

This bonding started when he was a kid and asked me to watch Digimon or some such anime thing where the main guy ran on an endless road for something like 100 episodes. (okay, exaggerating, it was only 99. ;;D) Running, running, running -- sigh.

EXACTLY! Each of the kids usually has a show they want to be 'our' show. I'm so glad Nick is almost over those anime type shows! I still get pressed into watching Ben10 now and again, but he's getting better at picking shows that we'll both like. The last 2 have been ATLANTIS and MERLIN, and the next one is ROBIN HOOD. THE BBC is good at family shows that aren't too much for little kids but aren't too boring for adults :)
