Hola!

Mindhunter (Netflix) is really good, IMO. (But I'm a freak so...) I read the book by John Douglas that it's based on, and many, many, MANY, others, but it was pretty cool watching how criminal classification (profiling) came about. It's strange how so many "lay" people know the basics of serial killers now-days and yet in the 1970's it was a vague idea...a wishful thinking...a pie-in-the-sky thing until it started panning out. Way cool.

I have one more episode and I'm pretty sure it's going to be awesome so I'm going to wait until later this evening and watch it with a nice glass of scotch and enjoy.(It's already been picked-up for season 2 and from what I've seen we can look forward to the Atlanta Children Murderers, and the BFK murder.)

Y'all stay safe and have a great evening.

Finished the first season at the weekend, absolutely excellent show. I had high hopes given David Fincher's involvement and the brilliant work he did with Zodiac and I was not disappointed. I'm actually considering a degree in forensic psychology off the back of this.

Finished Mindhunter the other day, then started Stranger Things 2 with the fam. Pretty good so far! DD#! and I started Alias Grace tonight and got 2 episodes in. THIS is the Atwood adaptation I was looking for! I got tired of Handmaid after three episodes and quit on it in the 4th, because the writers completely missed many of the points in the book (one of my top 5 lifetime books) in favor of focusing on the 'weird' sex. Bleh. So far, Alias Grace is sharply written and well acted, and a lovely adaptation of an absorbing book. Probably helps that Atwood herself wrote the scripts, in conjunction with Sarah Polley, and the show has a single, female director.

I watched the first episode of Alias Grace, and liked it so much I downloaded the book so I could read it before continuing. This is my first Atwood novel.

I personally loved The Handmaid's Tale, but wonder exactly what they are going to do with a Season 2. I am nervous about that. People liking different things makes the world more interesting.

Alias Grace is very good also, and Margaret Atwood makes a nice little cameo in episode 4.
